I don't think there are enough Nexus Maximus out there to get Fansproject to release add-on for it.

 

I'd much prefer that they do an entire rebuild/upgrade for Classics Devastator over doing anything for Nexus Prime.

 

I think an FP add-on for Devastator will be a step above Bruticus, just like the latter was a step above Superion.

They would need to create 4 brand new molds (unless they want to keep Scavenger/Steamhammer and turn Devs into a Scramble City type combiner with 5 members instead of the conventional 6) on top of all new combiner parts.

For a while, I've been trying to devise a way to create a proper Classics Devastator using 6 scout class figures. The only ones that come to mind are obviously the Bonecrusher/Scrapper, Longhaul/Hightower, and RID Wedge/TFU Bonecrusher molds.

 

frankly, classics devastator seems fine to me the way he is

after defender/protector/bruticus/collector, i want Kup!

 

Devastator is not a scramble city type gestalt. In fact the way Fansproject handles combiner arms is exactly how Devastator should look (i.e. bot is just the upper arm, leg is elbow and some add-on accessory is the forearm and hands.

I really hope that these custom molds and combiner add ons are trial runs to lead up to a true 6 bot Devastator which would be realization of a lifelong dream.

FP made/ are making /variants of Blast off and Swindle. They could make variants of Long Haul, Mix Master Scavenger and Bonecrusher to go with the Classics/Energon Devs. They could also add a chest plate and a pelvis plate plus the hands and blaster. It would be cool if Devs and Bruticus could hold WST Shockwave.

Crazy Devy made parts for G1 Devastator to give him a poseable head and flexible thighs. So in that regard a third party has already contributed to converting at least the original Devs.

 

I had heard of Crazy Devy but really why try to mod the old brick when starting fresh can give you so much more freedom? I'm positive that FP has the skill to do a true Classics Devastator. Only question is if they can have it make fiscal sense.

 

Definitely going above $100US for such kit.  

 

I'd love to see it! Like you I also believe FP can do this. Fiscally it will depend on how much they charge for and sell of BM's kit. Four new bots for Classics/Energon Devs would be sweet!

Seems odd though that Blastoff... er um Explorer will only come with 1 foot plate and the cannon backpack. But that does force people to buy both if they want the upgraded Bruticus.

 

I'm going to fork out the money for this awesome. I hope the finished products are painted.

Just doesn't seem worth the price to me. I'll keep Bruticus the way he is.

 

TFSource have pre-orders up for them also. ETA on their site is June for each part of the set. Explorer and Munitioner are FPs best add-on-kit so far. Can't wait to see what they do next!

 

I pre-ordered both on BBTS and Bruticus as well. How is BBTS getting restock of him when he been sold out in stores? Am I missing something?
