That Bruticus is an affront to the senses. Judging from the rest of the responses I see why FP is wasting time with this but damn...

 

I am soooo looking forward to getting this. I can't wait to see the final product.

The core body mold ("Onslaught") is probably one of the best standalone molds to come out of Energon, nevermind that he's a combiner. The helicopter mold is pretty sweet, though as an arm or leg, it has some problems. The tank... well, not to my taste exactly, but a well-designed figure. Together, the combined robot is rock-solid but also well-articulated. The only real issue is the configuation of the limbs...

FP has given this set a G1 facelift, proper arms (and likely legs) and a compatible all-new BlastOff mold! I can't see how this can be anything but a great improvement on a figure set that had a lot of potential.

I think I'm more worried about the price, since it comes with a new figure.

I felt the Superion add-on kit was a bit overpriced by about... $10 or so. I kind of cringe at the thought of how much this will be.

 

Ok, well sans the translucent plastic as that would be the cherry on top. I would still be pissed if I gotta spend $100+ bucks for an add on set for him considering he cost $250 (over 5 years).

Did anyone mention how blastoff doesn't have a front windsgield and he just looks like a giant phallic dildo-rocket without it? I reaaaalllyy hope they put that windshield on, but it's not there in the concept art, and really seems like something that would be part of the mold.

I hope they make a mod to use Cybertron Swindle as one of Bruticus' legs. He's the closest thing to an actual Classics Swindle we have...

 

The hardtop repaint? Or are you talking about Energon Strongarm? He's been more common than the hardtop repaint in customs...

 

Hardtop repaint. Energon Strongarm and his redecos look nothing like Swindle, IMO.
