Clues about Dewbot – maybe he settled down with a Pepsi machine? Clues to their fate are in there, not spelled out.

    Oooooooooo.

Man I wish Bay hadn't changed Sideswipe from the Lambo. Sideswipe is still my favorite design but I think a lambo transformer would be so awesome. Being that Sunstreaker is my favorite transformer, I was sad that the twin aspect was given away to Skids and Mudflap, but hey maybe I'll finally get my Sunstreaker action in the third movie, with some Prowl thrown in there to finally meet my dreams for this movie-verse.

Please don't spoil anything... but I hate this Scavenger/Demolishor-different character theory. I really hope its not true.

    No. None.

But I thought the rest of the interview was satisfying. For the moment.

Sounds like they're up for TF3 now despite past comments. And a maybe for Unicron! Beans of extreme coolness.

People bothered about in-movie repaints? Not me. It just means we would be that much closer to a group of SEEKERS.

Seriously, sometimes I wonder if TF fans actually know what they want.

Considering they are the main writers, Id say alot is true.

Anyone who has read the whole novel and can shed light on the Grindor/Blackout; Sideways/Barricade; demolishor/scavenger debacle, I will gladly accept a PM or Post here with spoiler tags. I have the book and am about 4 chapters in but havent had time to read more.

Sideways is not Barricade. Barricade only appears in the prequel novel. In the movie novelization, Sideways is merely fodder for the Autobots, a character whos only purpose is to show how Autobots hunt down and kill Decepticons around the world.

Demolishor is another fodder character, killed off early in the novel during the same Autobot/NEST mission which hunted down Sideways. Scavenger is a totally different character, albeit same alt mode, that shows up as a group of construction vehicles mining for something in Egypt.

The Grindor/Blackout thing is totally unresolved. In the forest scene battling Optimus with Megs and Starscream, the helicopter robot is unnamed. He ends up getting his head split in two by Optimus' blade. As no names were mentioned, nobody knows if that's Grindor or Blackout.

Of course, the movie will probably be different from the novelization, but I expect certain elements to be similar.

So whatever happened to the whole note of Barricades disappearance from Movie one being a "thread to the sequel?"

Aside from the obvious that Bay already had the GM deal in place he probably wouldn't have been able to use a Lamborghini even if he'd wanted to because they're owned by VW and their policy towards Transformers is well known.

It does seem like in the other movie fiction like the prequel novels and the comics, they've gone through great pains to NOT kill Barricade. I hope something comes out of that, somewhere down the line.
