VERY glad to see they made Optimus' shoulder parts silver instead of red. Of course they mistransformed the stacks on the truck mode.

 

If this is final, I'm very glad they made Optimus' shoulder parts silver as well. I can live with the red feet and other inaccuracies, but that part was a very gleaming error to me.

I reserve all comments on how this toy looks until I go to Target or Toys R Us and see it in person. Even later images of Hasbro stock photography can be inaccurate.

Now that these images have come out, & Hasbro has added them for pre-order on HasbroToyShop, I’ve got a question. I know that the Deluxe Bumblebee & Soundwave are scheduled to be the “Preview Figures”, but is Leader Class Optimus also a preview figure? I ask this because I received this e-mail from BigBadToyStore.com today

So they make it sound like Leader Prime, as well as the Bumblebee Roleplay toys are preview toys as well. Or perhaps BBTS just misspoke.

 

Does the Bumblebee helmet have a battle-mask mode? If not, WTF?!?!!?

 

HTS will get a nice piece of online TF sales this summer it seems.

 

Leader Prime is a preview? I really, really want him.

 

I just wish that both the Optimus and BumbleBee helmets had some sort of holographic eye stickers over the lenses. You know, like those novely sunglasses you see in stores like BigLots.

 

has there been any news on whats different for the takara/japanese version of optimus?

 

I noticed that they removed the part on Optimus that looked like certain human anatomy. He’s not so manly in the toy version.

 

The Bumblebee helmet is awesome, so much cooler than the Prime one. I'm glad I got it before they pulled it off the ToysRus website. Now it's up for pre-order along with the cannon and pre-view Bumblebee, but there slated to release May 30th or so it says. BBTS also has pre-orders for those plus pre-view Soundwave and the first wave of Leaders(Prime and TBD?).

 

so will leader prime be on shelves the same day as the pre releases?

So, which truck version do we get, the one that's a full truck or the one with gaping holes in the side?

 

Smokestacks are transformed incorrectly... you can see them under the truck.

Now in terms of scale compared to the first Leader Prime, how's it look? He seems skinner and shorter to me.
