Yeah, this "delayed, not cancelled" talk around Animated is slightly more positive, so I'm happy with that at least; I'd really like to hear an official Hasbro statement, though. This situation is getting muddier and muddier by the minute, and I'd like to have it all spelled out clearly before I rejoice/lament...

 

I believe that if an Arcee toy that turns into a car is ever released, it will somehow open a dimensional rift and allow some Lovecraftian Cosmic Horror into our reality.

dont really care about e-soundwave, but arcee is a MUST HAVE.
though, may '09 retail probly means we wont get it in canada until october or so

Seems every series gets a toy or two. Why should animated be any different.

 

Well, this is at least a positive step in the right direction. Delayed is better then canceled.

Yeah, that's the only thing they could be doing at this point with Animated having an end date of May 29th and Universe not having an end date. I guess that what they originally stated at Botcon last year ended up getting reversed. If you recall they originally stated that Animated would run concurrently with Revenge of the Fallen while Universe was going to go on hiatus save for a few store exclusives.

And, in the long run, it makes sense in the current economy to combine the two lines into one... especially if they don't have a whole lot of Animated figures left to go (and based on their Toy Fare data there really isn't too much left even if you count the total numbers they gave out). If this ends up being the case it will pad out Universe for the rest of the year or more.

 

As long as I get them who gives a slaggin slag.

 

one thing i worry about is im from scotland and blurr and swindle are just out, will the rest of animated come out here?(for proof of my fear see animated magnus)

Hmm...It makes me sad seeing animated get canceled, this is the first TF series that I've watched from beginning to end while it was actually on T.V. it's a shame it was handled so poorly. But I do hope I get to buy Arcee and Soundwave/blaster. For now I must go and do mass chores so I can buy Blitzwing and a few leader class dudes before they get moved off shelves

 

Basically, all I care about at this point is getting as many of the unreleased Animated toys to the general public (and me specifically   ) as possible - regardless of timeframe or packaging.

Well, i'm not a big Fan of the Animated Toyline(mostly due to the lack of Detail and the stretched Faces), but aside Blackarachnia, Arcee is most likely to become my second Animated Figure.
However, I'm mostly exited about several RotF-Figures, almost everyone of them is looking good.

And I'm kinda interested, if the Leader-classes of Optimus Prime and Jetfire can be Combined.

 

For what it's worth, I did say get the toys to the general public TOO. (and first!)

but your cause is one I can get behind as well.

On a more practical note...if they moved Soundwave under Universe I might be able to get around my "I swear I'm not buying another Animated figure" self promise made in the wake of the nonchallenge of transforming Leader Megatron....that Megatron made me sad  

He's actually the only Megatron mold I own thats not on my Megatron wall...

Gah, I hope they get released SOMEWHERE and then I will be able to get them, even if they don't show up shelves in my local shops.

I just splurged online to get the Jet Twins, Shockwave, Swindle and Blurr. All within the UK thankfully, so not too crazy prices. I just know that if I wait too long, I'll have no chance of finding them.

My local outlets are stuck with shelves clogged full of earlier product: Sainsburys has tons of Swoop/Sentinel, Tesco is stuck with ample Jazz/Oilslicks, and Toymaster still only has Ratchet/Blackarachnia.

I don't live near enough to a TRU to find out if they keep up-to-date stock. Ah well, I already had to get Ultra Magnus from Kapow, coz he's a no show. I guess I can deal with slightly higher online/import prices to get the last few toys out of the line.

 

Son of a! Damn, I mine as well just stop hoping for an Omega Supreme then.
