I was so furious and disappointed yesterday that i meant to say i think his ROBOT mode is absolutely terrible . I think the SR-71 idea is totally badass.   and i never claimed bay ruined my childhood   and i just started using these smileys they rock.

 

So I took another look at the previously leaked proto pics, and I almost think you might be on to something here. They have a good excuse for a new Bumblebee legend(the old one was the 70s Camaro). But what's the reason for redoing Legends Optimus(other than it kinda sucked first time around)?

Okay, sure, TFs often have random slots for no reason, and especially when there's a ball joint on the other side. But Jetfire's peg... I'm not sure what other purpose it can serve, besides uglying up the alt mode.

Interesting...this adds even more credibility to the Optimus/Jetfire combining rumor. Plus, Legends that can combine would be pretty cool. I wonder if they'll do a Legends Devastator like that old Universe one.

 

Well, damn that's pretty darn blatant. If they aren't intentionally designed to combine, I am sure we can all figure out a way to make it work anyways.

Jetfire's alt-mode, does indeed look like crap. Unless that image is mistransformed....

 

You know, on second glance, I'm not sure that Springer will necessarily be a repaint of incinerator. The hands of incinerator have three blade rotors, and the Springer legend has 4 blade rotors. Not exactly a change that as to be made to make the legends figure simpler.

Just saying it's possible.

 

I hope Springer gets a better, larger mold, and maybe a couple more Wreckers appear. Maybe in the movie Springer's line would be like this
" The Fallen eh? Never did want to live forever"

Maybe Bumblebee is the fallen because he is yellow and thats the colour of fire.. or maybe ratchet is the fallen because in the first film he fell over in sams garden, or maybe its ironhide because he got knocked down by an exploding furby truck..
from what i read of your arguments which is just "stretches and rumours" all of these theories are just as plausible, not hating on you or nothing just saying that it seems as every character comes out people are like maybe he is the fallen omg!!

 

We already had confirmation from IDW that the titular Fallen is based upon the Fallen created by Simon Furman for the Dreamwave comics.

This information was yanked after Michael Bay and Paramount were made aware of the interviews.

 

Ok, y'all win. Those conjectures were speculative, anyway. It's not as though I placed bets or anything. I guess we will find out soon enough. But Crombiecon, my arguments aren't that silly--you pulled a straw man with those comparisons.

 

I wasn't specically talking about you. (A trend with the fandom, not a trend with YOU, get it?) It seems every thread with a new character or toy gets gets at least a few guesses of The Fallen or Soundwave. (The only exception being a toy pictured with Soundwave. Then, of course, it just had to be Laserbeak. Because he's with Soundwave...)

And often nothing more to support the guess than "We can't really get a good look at that figure's face (it's too dark & there's a bit too much reflection on the packaging), but I wonder if maybe his face looks like the face on the packaging." as 'evidence.'

The only one I don't really care for is Jetfire. I mean, come on, man. Bay did the same thing to Jetfire that Roland Emmerich did to Godzilla. Made him look like a heroine junkie.

Only echoing what's already been said, but the pics look interesting.

Curious, however -- I wonder if there's any chance of Springer, if he even appears in the movie, being an actual triple-changer? Looks unlikely judging by the figure. And of course, if they were to introduce the Wreckers (also unlikely), that would add some pure win.

 

i doubt sptinger will be a triple-changer - they don't necessarily retain a G1 namesakes gimmicks for the movie.

just think of how many movie characters are completely different to their namesakes in G1.
