So is July 25th confirmed for the UK?

Gaaah, I'm going to be out of Australia for June / most of July and in the UK instead. I'll probably miss both countries release date. Sheeeeeeeeit.

To put an END to such rumours, the only official Paramount UK date given so far is "Summer 2009".

New movies over here are released on Thursdays (apart from the occassional preview on a Wednesday night). The 26th of June 2009 is a Friday, hence a relase date of the 25th in Australia. Dunno what the standard is in the US for release dates?

We tend to get movies early these days.

Besides, TF1 came out in the US a day early as well.

Yeah, like Animated Jetfire and Jetstorm, yeah I have the pack.
It`s kinda wired since they are manufactured in America.

I'm not staking my credability on it, but I'd be pretty sure that the *official site* has their date wrong. The only reasons we have movies NOT released on a thursday (25th is a Thursday) are Boxing Day, other important dates/public holidays, and charity events.
There isn't anything special about the 26th June in Australia (that I know of), and the 25th June date was quoted from the presentation of Hasbro AUS to Paramount AUS... Surely one of those two would have corrected the date if it was incorrect.

The *only* other thing I could think of is coinciding an international 'same-day' release, but I can't (objectively) imagine this movie being important enough for that...

Not really - they're manufactured in Asia for the most part.
