    Nice, thanks man. :D

Just so people know- we record on Thursday evenings, so that's the point where questions (and news items) can fall off the plate and down to the next week's podcast.

okay, I was finally able to listen to Episode 11 today.

#1, Thanks for the mentions in Podcast #1, and #11 by Buzzbeak. ;)  Love ya man!

Now, I haven't posted my podcast thoughts yet, as it was only a few weeks ago I started listening to them, but I've listened to them all now.

First up, both the Odd number and Even number teams rock. You guys all bring something unique and interesting to the discussions. I might be a little biased towards the even number team, simply for the fact that I've met Lupis and aksmth in person before, and used to chat regularly with them. (I miss that!)

But anyways, love the format you have come up with for the podcast. It all seems to flow really well. The only things that bug me sometimes are the "intermission skits". Usually they're okay, but last weeks (the Floro Derry or however you spell his name) was painful to listen to. Other than that though, I have nothing negative to add about the podcasts.

Really, you guys have done an impressive job overall. You've made it both professional and fun. The little tangents you folks get into are always entertaining.

I know you mentioned doing episode discussion once the new Animated season gets underway, but I was also wondering if there were any plans for a discussion of the comics? I'm not a reader of the current TF comics, but I'd be interesting to hear your takes on some of the latest stuff IDW's been putting out.

Anyway, thanks for putting together this little slice of entertainment. It gives me something great to listen to in the car on Friday's when there's no Howard Stern Show. (Or in this week's case, when they're on vacation for a week :lol )

Comics are a little tricky- the newest ones are only a day old when we record, and sometimes we haven't all read up. I'd like to give the comics some podcast space again though, at least to discuss thoughts on the end of the Furman IDW arcs once Spotlight:Sideswipe is out.

I'd be down for some comics. I'm almost caught up with the currently-out stuff.

That's a good question. I had been to some comic shows in the past but didn't really know what the one Botcon I went to was going to be all about my own self.

Have you tried Coffee People's Donut Shop blend? It's my new favorite.

    podcast format

Hey guys, you've popped my podcast cherry and I've been a faithful listener ever since the second episode. I love the personality and charm you bring to the show, as well as the depth of information. As a result, I find myself more obsessed with tfw2005.com than ever before.

My only (minor) complaint is that the podcasts seem to be directed more at collectors than say fans of the tv shows or the comics. The bit of airtime you gave to season 3 and Cyclonus was pretty legit. Why not dedicate a portion of the podcast to reviewing/commenting on past TF cartoon episodes (start from G1 and bring us up to date), comic books, or characters across the universe in general. This would give us all incentive to rewatch and reread those episodes and comic books before hearing your commentary. I know this could be seen as a "backward-looking" approach, but I think it would round out the show a bit more. A plate of retro tv and comics, new toys, floro derry, tf animated, and movie news make for a fulfilling TF treat.

Thanks for reading, and keep up the good work.

    Welcome to the forums!

And that's not a bad idea. I think the reason for all the toy-heavy air-time is because that's all that's really going on right now. The TV show is on hiatus until Season 3 starts (whenever that is), and we are covering what little movie news we get, but the main thing happening right now is the toy lines.

We are planning to get more into the comics, and we will definitely be covering Animated when it comes back, as well as the movie. But thanks for the feedback. We are always looking to see what we can cram into an hour. :)

For me the Floro Dery interview was no where near as painful to listen to as the Theodore F Wellington (or what ever his name was) skit. To me the voice just didn't scream rich elitist collector snob.

It's a shame that the intermission skits aren't going over well; I think they're a great way to break up the relentless onslaught of TF news. Maybe there'll be a really good one soon that everyone will enjoy.

I atually quite enjoy the intermission skits, I find them very funny, especially the one with a man selling you a toy factory.

I do want to work in as many aspects of TFness as possible, which was a little bit behind why I went into things like Cyclonus' character. :D  The real trick is that I don't want the podcast to go too long, and the last couple weeks have been hitting the absolute lengthiest we're willing to go. I think there'll be room at some point though- part of the learning experience is figuring out which news headlines can be skipped, for instance. :)

As we continue on I hope to see us eventually finding that excellent point of balance.

Oh I agree the intermission skits are a great way to break up the podcast, kind of a nice sorbet for the audio pallet. I thought the Floro Dery skit and the Theodore F Wellington skit were funny, I just didn't like the voice of Mr. TFW.

BTW Vang your avatar is still just too hypnotic.... my master ;)
