Here's a thought, how about taking the bits you end up cutting out of all the podcasts and releasing it as "The deleted podcast WTF?!"
Generally, for my week's we stay after and talk on a number of non-tfw geekdom related subjects... but it's no hold barred, I probably wouldn't be able to represent the site with what I say stuff lol I'm very opinionated person when I know what I say won't leave the room. also when I'm extra drunk
BRILLIANT!!!!!!!!! Correct me if I am wrong but the Podcast are usually released anywhere from Monday to Tuesday depending on editing and time. Maybe release the deleted stuff around Friday-Saturday the leaves about a 2 day gap between them. Also I like to hear maybe some more Radicon mention and reviews possibly. But then the whole debate of favoritism may or may not come into play. And that also means more time gone. Just an Idea thou. Maybe the ones that get a lot of hits or one that really stand out. Like the IDW HardHead out of a Universe Onslaught. But other than the more British Drew, and yes I miss Vangelus yelling, keep up the great work guys. And oh yeah when I try to use the Zune subscribe link it doesn't work.
Aren't we all. I would love to do the show after a couple beers, but since I get out of class 30 minutes before recording time (just like Vangelus) it's usually not possible.
Asking here isn't going to accomplish anything, you have to PM an Admin. But the site policy is no name changes, so I doubt it will be allowed.
I doubt there's enough material to release one every week, nor would the podcasters need to do something like that every week. I was thinking something fairly infrequent say one every 2-3 months depending on the amount of deleted stuff. It could also be used as something to subliment the weeks when news is light.
Yeah, I know the policy, I remember back when it was first implemented (I used to be Dominas Prime when I first joined). I just kinda figured it'd be a fun idea considering the podcast. However, ultimately it is up to the admins as you stated. Perhaps even if I remain as Moroni Prime, my nickname could be Nutlug?!.... well, at least until someone signs up with that name... I dunno. I do have one request though. What are the chances of devoting a small chunk of each podcast to a "member of the week" section. Like with each podcast, you guys could interview a random board member (LIKE ME FOR INSTANCE) for all of like 5 minutes, asking questions and getting feedback. It would get the boardmembers more involved and make the whole thing more interactive. It would be more fun that way. To be honest, the chances of that happening are pretty slim. We try to keep it to around an hour an episode, and because of that, we already don't have time for other things we want to do, and even entire segments that were recorded get cut out during the editing process. While I'm sure the person who was the "Member of the Week" would get a kick out of it, everyone else would be waiting for us to get back to the news or subject at hand.
Branching off of that, if, say, you got some sort've professional (voice actor, comic writer/artist, toy designer, blah) to appear on your show, would they be in a separate interview segment, or would they join the roundtable for the whole of the episode? WTF@TFW's format is very different from most of the other genre podcasts I listen to, and I'm not entirely certain how guest appearances would best be implemented into it. XD Not to, y'know, backseat podcast or anything.
