Hey, could I get a news credit if I say my "sources" (i.e., obvious inductive inference) tell me that there will be shitloads of crappy TF: ROTF merchandise (blankets, lampcovers, childrens' underwear) in June 2009?

Hmmm, i just want to see the trailer but i dont like Star Trek as much. Hmm, maybe ill just sneak inside the movie.  

 

I certainly don't need an incentive like this since I'll definately be seeing Star Trek anyway, but it is a sweet extra.

I read the news update about a full trailer not coming out untill Star Trek in May...and now this just surfaced on Awesome Transformers Toys, News & Reviews - TFormers.com

The talk of a trailer for "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" will debut in November has resurfaced once again.

Ain't It Cool News reports that a full trailer for the sequel will debut in November attached to an unnamed film.

The month coincides with screenwriter Roberto Orci claiming that there will be a "massive" marketing push starting in November.

According AICN's source, the trailer was shown during a Paramount Pictures event in London, England to promote the studios' upcoming films in 2009.

What up with different sites saying different things...this is getting ridiculous.

 

I'm pretty sure we'll get a teaser trailer and not a full trailer in november.

Regarding TFormers' news bit, since they're using AICN as a source, and the AICN article linked in this very thread's first post states that the full trailer will be attached to Star Trek in May (not and unnamed film, and not november), I guess TFormers just got confused.  

Also, the same AICN article doesn't seem to point to a TF:ROTF trailer being shown in that Paramount event in London, but does indeed say footage from other Paramount films was shown.

Like I said, I guess TFormers got confused.

Either way, they'll probably just premier the trailer/teaser(s) on Yahoo.com like they did last time.

Why not sooner? The teaser due before the end of the year had better be better than the 1st movie's teaser (showing just the Mars Beagle2 Rover, the the Transformers logo)

 

Yeah, I was. I thought that was pretty clear, but maybe it wasn't. I mean, seriously, this is hardly "news" in any reasonable sense of the word. "TF: ROTF full trailer will be released two months before the movie comes out!! OMG HTM FTW!! QFT LOL ROTF!?!!?"

 

Well that be nice to see, I hope its on the regular tv though as I go to movies about once every 3-4 years.

I'm no where near a fan of Star Trek, let alone a "Trekky", but that was actually cool looking. I might end up going to see it in theatres, though I'll definitely not become an actual fan of it (never have been, never will be).

Also, this should really go in the "Movies and Television" forum, instead of this particular news thread (yeah, this thread is Star Trek related, but this deserves it's own thread).

 

Why are people always so "scared" of becoming fans of Star Trek? Why not give it a chance?

 

Wouldn't they want to show something now to get kids excited about Transformers so they ask there parents for the toys for christmas. I meen with a huge blockbuster like this they cant be that stupid. All well im losing intrest, it will come out sometime.
