Maybe there are two Michael Bays. Everything one says is the truth, everything the other says is a lie. The trick is working out which one is speaking at any one time.

This theory would explain why his films suck: no one ever knows which Bay is speaking, so they don't know that he's lying when he says "To hell with the script, if we just blow stuff up for 90 minutes, it'll be great!"

Hmmm, Bay is really trying to confuse the people who follow the news, but luckily Mr. Orci has said that he doesn't do stuff like misinformation. But damn, if the leaked call sheets were indeed false, then what about Jetfire? I've seen pictures of his alt mode in that museum, but man would it be mean to say that Jetfire was in the movie, when in fact he isn't. Oh well, only a year to go.

It's how he's going about it. He apparently thinks we're idiots.

It's an American summer action movie so even if it wasn't Bay we could already figure that it either has a happy ending where the good guys win to let the ticket holder go home happy, or it just sets up for part 3 to get the ticket holder back on day to finish up the story.

They aren't likely going to spend the cash to change the look of the robots so we already know what part of the cast looks like and any new bots are likely to have the parts overload and have you going who's that.

Unless they do the unheard of thing of the production team relaunching their own franchise after the first film I really don't see much room to sping a whole lot on us that we aren't expecting already and can't fill in when the toys and comic books hit before the films release.

What's next is Bay going to talk Hasbro into holding off on the release of the new movie toys until after the movie has been out a month?

Guys, did I cause Bay's forum to shut down or something with my logic? I registered and posted there with evidence of IDW Publishing contradicting his claims that only a select number of people involved with the movie production have the script.

And now his site is down.

    I broke Micheal Bay's internet? :D

Obviously Bay is lying about everything and this movie really doesn't exists. We'll go to the theater on the release date and it'll just be him on-screen laughing for 2 hours. It'll be the most elaborate joke ever perpetrated on human kind.

uh yeah. i'll just think for myself and question the authority on this one. i wonder though, why even bother trying to keep it a secret? not everybody wants to see the script, and anybody that does is not going to be able to change anything that happens. right?

    *Cough*

He knows that even with the internet he can't hide everything for ever.

I think the Misinformation Campain is Misinformation it's self, Lie to cover the truth that's slowly leaking out on a day by day basis. and what's the best way to do it Deny everything even when their is proof.

We may be frenzied Fans at some points in time Bay, But were not idiots.

The problem with Bay's plan of misinformation is to not let us know WHAT is misinformation. When he keeps coming on and saying "You know nothing!", he just makes it look more suspicious. If he really wanted the plan to work, he'd shut up.

Considering the first movie went pretty much exactly the same way - Bay and others say (a lot of) the stuff that leaked prior was intentionally false and misleading, or would change a lot by movie release, and yet somehow near all of the early stuff seen turned out to be between 90 and 100 percent correct - I'll say yessir, that's most likely correct. Easier and cheaper to say the truth is false, rather than spend extra money to create the falsehoods.

    good point.

i saw the first movie, its was fun enough but all this cloak and dagger business puts me off the whole thing though, its all rather an ego trip for bay i suppose, its like hes trying to be cleverer than the fans who want to know x,y,z about the film, way to much indulgence, way too serious.

rather sad, its just a movie.

No Shculmacher, please. Metal Nipples = BAD
    Made me laugh.

Seriously this whole crap about misinformation is just enough to keep everyone frustrated enough that Bay and Company can make a movie without being attacked by the fans.

With the success of the first movie, there is no doubt Bay's Ego is super-inflated.

Either the same mistakes that were made in the first round will be repeated and there will be more bad choices, based on the " I just made a multi-million dollar film" mentality.

    OR

We get a really kick ass film.

    I vote somewhere in between,
Either way the film makers don't have to reconstruct half the movie because something leaked early to the fans (us), and it gets a major negative reaction.
That's the main point of all the misinformation and keeping it all super secret.
We can render 2 crappy characters twice if we don't have to redo one of them halfway through production.

LaBeouf doesn't exist. The part of Sam Witwicky was played by Morgan Freeman.

It'll be hilarious when he leaks fake designs, and they're awesome.

And we go, "Oh, man, this is gonna be the best movie Bay has ever made!"

    Bay: "Aw, shit."

I'm joking, but I really will be disappointed if the bad info teases better plot points and designs than are in the real film.

Just like the fake BotCon 2008 comic Shattered Expectations on April Fools was VERY well recieved for its camp fun, and some people expected the Serious Business Botcon Shattered Glass comic to be a dissapointment by comparison.
