i love the way his information is wrong, it's likewhenpeople do artwork of MW Sandstorm, where's the Rotorstorm and Thunderclash love, even Dreamwave didn't introduce them along with the rest of the Turbomasters

Never had any issues with the mold, really. If I had to choose I definitely like it better in vehicle mode than bot mode. Nice proto.

    Wow...

Can that mold not get a good paint job? Really. OP could have been good but for the army green. Thunderclash could have been better if not for the pink. This version would have been the absolute worst of the three.

All the toys designed for machine wars were ball-jointed. It was an experiment in making vehicle-mode transformers with BW-era articulation.

Christ on a bike, $500...and the reserve isn't met?
I doubt anyone'll want it for that much. It's not a figure that we really missed out on.

    Ball joints = unarticulated bricks.

personally, i liked MW toys, better then BM toys, even if they WERE bricks, there was still enough fun in each toy, even if they were robed from their european weapons, they were still fun to play with, plus they fit nicely with both the G1 and G2 molds, in display.

Personally, I think this is the best use of this mold yet in terms of color scheme and character-likeness. Too bad...

That this toy is an unproduced Product sample and therefore extreeemly rare. So it'll go to those who collect such things who do spend that kind of money on them due to their nature. It's not something an average collector will want.

Never dug the mold. Not a big loss in my humble opinion.

Does Thunderclash suffer from gold plastic strength issues?

This is certainly an interesting piece- wonder if any Defensor repaints of RID Prime are out there?

    Um... bleah?

Disgusting colour scheme. And why does Hasbro always, always get Menasor's name confused with Motormaster? :mad

Huh, for some reason I never thought a test shot would ever pop up, despite having first seen the artwork quite some time ago. One would think he was almost at production stage if artwork was completed, but *shrug* I just didn't see it coming.

I don't think Menasor looks hideous. Then again I'm partly colorblind, so maybe that's why I think the dark purple and swamp green look decent together. I do think the dark yellow is a bit much.

Just for the "what might have been" sake of completeness, I'd love to see a fully painted sample of Menasor.

Because Hasbro can't secure the trademark to Motormaster anymore. They said as much when Classics Legends Menasor was first revealed.

This would have been in the old Universe line. We currently only know of 7 TF's that we're supposed to be getting in the new Universe line, and 5 of those arethe first wave, and only one of those is a repaint, though is also a remold.
