So, I'm genuinely a little drained. First transformation completed, but it fought me hard in a few spots. The first major step, prying the backpack upward, took forever, and required me breaking out my car trim tool set. It was absurdly tight, to the point there was no way I would have gotten it moved/unhooked without a tool/implement. I find that kind of unacceptable.

Moving on, there were a few other times things were just really tight and I did need to use a tool at least one more time.
The section of the backpack that the head is also on, which is on kind of a peg, came off. It goes back in, but not sure what to think of that.

It was challenging, frustrating, and tiring. Fun, it was not. It certainly took a little shine off the overall experience so far, for me. I am not looking forward to transforming it back into robot mode, which I will probably try to tackle tomorrow at some point.

The truck looks good. It came together nice and tight.

Sounds like me after trying to transform Coolsville a few times before getting it right. Not fun and really frustrating. It did get easier once I knew the tricks, but yeah, it tests my limits as far as transformation expecations. At the least he looks great in the alt mode. (TE and Coolsville.)

 

The only transformation bits I don’t like are Rouge’s back bits and Downbeat’s legs
Apache’s legs too

 

i was being factitious. implying the delay was due to TE not liking the first video and been complying to a request and making a second one. well it went down like that in my head.

Excellent pics! such a clean and gorgeous Truck mode. what's that grey lego like piece sticking out the back of the cab for?? It looks out of place and throws off the aesthetic.

I think you missed the little fold out triangle filler piece by the wheel-well. I'm pretty sure I missed it during my first transformation as well.

I agree that the backpack was difficult to pry open. It seems to be a bit of an overkill with pegs securing it from the side and inside. I just transformed it again to truck mode and I think it got easier to un-peg the backpack than the first time. I actually quite like the transformation now that I've done it twice. I think it has a below average (for a 3rd party MP) amount of parts interference during transformation. The only one that comes to mind is the back flap of the truck mode having to fold past the smokestacks. Otherwise I found it to be surprisingly executable.

 

That grey piece is used to peg the backpack of the robot mode into the body. It doesn't serve any function in truck mode other than maybe help the rear section stay at a 90 degree angle relative to the cab. But it doesn't peg anywhere in truck mode and just sits there. I think this piece probably could have been omitted altogether. Un-pegging this piece out in robot mode was by far the most difficult thing to do in the transformation sequence. Since the backpack is already secured sideways by some pegs in robot mode, I'm thinking if they did away with this grey piece it wouldn't compromise anything. But that's just guessing on my part.

 

I think the smokestacks are meant to be pulled out and folded outward.

 

You are right, thanks. Went back and found the little panels. As frustrating as it was, I really appreciate the engineering and thought/imagination that went into this figure.

Horror story here guys....got impatient seeing all the beautiful pics and went ahead and took a shot on EBAY... 
Listing clearly states “INSTOCK” at the top of the listing...Ordered it THURSDAY night and SATURDAY morning I receive a message from the seller stating that because of CNY he wouldn’t be able to ship my order out until at least February 27! Now the only reason I purchased from this seller was because it said INSTOCK and was trying my best to have it shipped before CNY...now the douchbagsat EBAY are telling me the damn seller doesn’t even have th ship until March 25th! IS THIS A JOKE! Not saying I won’t get it eventually but I find that this is a very unsavory way to do business and I’m pretty pissed that EBAY is ok with this even after reading the message the seller sent me...Am I over reacting here or shyi be pissed?

 

I can post the sellers name if anyone is interested in not getting screwed out of there money for the next two months
