If they reissue Montana and keep the QC high for the rest of these guys, I think I am gonna sell my XTB ones.
True, but FansToys has not been a walk in the park lately either with their transformations. I have nearly all of the FansToys figures, and I can't remember the last time their transformations didn't have issues...maybe Sludge. I cringe at the idea of FansToys super tight tolerances being applied to combiners. And this will be their first time doing combiners (aside from Spotter)
What's up with the cocaine pinky fingernail? Looks like another fun transformation like their Breakdown. Can't wait for it to be released. What prime is that in the video?
Henry is released. TFS Express It looks really nice...very clean in both modes. But...will the QC be up to it?!
The two front end pieces of Montana's car mode that form the outer biceps in robot mode were killing my fingers. I removed the one screw on the bicep, and separated the back panel to reveal the sliding joint. There are 2 nubs on the inside of the sliding component. I shaved down one nub on both arms, and removed a lot of thick paint on the peg section that it was sliding on. It is now easy to slide that piece in and out for transformation while still sitting firmly in place in both modes. Still thinking about a solution for the loose heel, and loose ab crunch.
is it me or has everything up to henry’s realease been relatively quiet? dx9s presence as a whole had been kinda quiet.
My only issues with my copy are: -The chest piece that flips up doesn't comfortably connect without pushing in with the might of Hercules. Even after much pushing, shoving, grunting and sweating I never could get one side to peg in properly -The diecast heels are very floppy I know a lot of people had sloppy paint issues as well, which is terrible for a figure this pricey and I'm sorry that occurred, but fortunately mine had pretty decent paint. And this is a figure from that initial TFSource allotment, so that's saying something.
I had the same issue with the chest. I shaved off the paint on the tabs on the backside of the chest section, and now it pegs in completely, and can be untabbed without herculean effort.
