How does this color change thing work?

 

Love the new ones. Gotta get another Cuddletooth redeco over the others.

 

Looks like the bakery set includes the mixer, rolling pin, slice of pie, cup of sugar cubes, and a cook book.

First two are new molds and the last three are repaints/retools of existing figures.

Which is fine. We know there's going to be some of that. I would also assume any repaint is also a new character.

And wouldn't worry too much about the assortments. What looks like "more dupes" may actually mean there's just fewer figures and you can choose one pack and find the rest in singles.

 

Well, Amazon has listings for Seasons Greeters (I'm assuming holiday-themed), Spoiled Rottens, Music Mob and Goo Goo Groupies--I'd assume these to be Wave 3 since Lawn League and Bakery Bytes are apparently (half of?) Wave 2.

I suspect the Spoiled Rottens will be food-bots with "moldy" decoes. GGG I have no idea, but I'd expect Chilla Gorilla to be redecoed for Music Mob, maybe the smartphone-bot as an MP3 player.

 

We've seen a blue Chilla in the artwork along with a composer/piano and a rocker/piano and someone with an Elvis hairdo.




There are redecos of Duderoni, Sudsbeard and Professor Wellread that are different from the new ones shown on this thread, too.

 

Looking at that, the one next to Poosham looks like it may becone a bone in ham piece of meat(brown skull face). On the other side of Poo looks like a gree baseball,

 

A softball themed Botbot would be great. It's too bad we won't ever see a softball themed team that includes the ball, a bat, a cooler, and a pack of smokes.

 

There seem to be more that a few new Botbots coming. Of note Nachos with chili and fries with ketchup, or maybe gravy...

 

I also see a Lacefeace redeco, a fish-bot, I think a shoe...

 

A remold of Stinkeye Stapleton as a stand mixer is a pretty funny use of that mold, but not having a true face is going to hurt that one. I get the conceit, the face is mixed up, but it removes the personality that drives these.

I don't even understand what Sudsbeard's repaint is supposed to be. Is the clover suggesting it's soap?

Another chance to get a chainsaw bot, that's cool.

 

Usually color change toys work with water, ice or sun.

 

You missed a few-- among them Chilla Gorilla, King Toots, S.A. Cheez, and Poo Sham redecoes.

 

Never noticed the fish and piano ones.

Do I need to start a Google Sheet of sculpts and redecoes?

 

I don't think it's necessary as of yet. We don't have enough concrete info beyond Series 1, which is already well-documented enough.

Once we get confirmation of what Series 2 consists of-- and how the Bakery Bunch and the Lawn League fit into all this, as exclusives or something else-- maybe we might need it.

 

Nah. Because then we'll end up worrying too much about Dead End/Chromedome type stuff. Focus on what they turn into and maybe tag the ones who are straight repaints versus "retools."
