No word on it, so unless they shipped it with Hoodlum, it seems highly unlikely.

 

Yeah, wondering same on the "x" version dropping soon. Preorders saying January seem like they may have been optimistic.

 

They were, but that's typical for FT. Hoodlum was supposed to be out in 2018, after all.

 

Fanstoys said that Hoodlum would be released before FT-10X and FT-10X may be released in Jan, Feb or even March.

I've got FT-10X on preorder, but I wish I could see some more photos. I was fortunate to snap up all the X variants of their Dibots, and they look fantastic IMO... except Soar. I like Soar, but the X variant is't as nice as the others. Soar has quite a few panels made of a type of plastic to which paint can't be applied (see Cubex Huff as an example). The non-painted areas were too noticeable for my taste. I see the same thing with the non-chrome areas of MP-36+.

I'm hopeful that this won't be the case with FT-10X. Phoenix is one of the best sculpts I've ever seen for a masterpiece figure.

So I'm a software engineer and I've resigned myself to the fact that most data "security" is absolute crap. I've found that the best approach is to be proactive as possible and be mindful of your credit and credit cards. For example, I use an Amex card simply because they are so effective at resolving my issues when my card is used fraudulently. One call to Amex, I get a person, and they clean up the mess - done. I use my Amex card almost exclusively for online purchases.

I own a number of Internet domains and for the longest time, I registered for sites/services using a unique e-mail per site/service. I also use password conventions to ensure that I never use the same password in two places. I was curious to learn who would re-sell my data or had lax security... I knew that eventually one of those e-mail addresses would come back and I would know the source.

The first and most disappointing culprit? TD Ameritrade, where I held my largest retirement account at that time. /sigh Their data had been compromised.

Anyway... just be mindful and know/expect that you're data is floating around in places you would not expect.

 

Unfortunately, I've had Phoenix preordered since I got the notice they were running this LE, it was like July/August or something. There's no way to change the payment method on something you have in your "stack" @ TFSource. Only way would be to cancel the preorder, then redo it and then pay it differently ahead of time, can't do that obviously, since it's kinda sold out. I'll just have to watch my CC after that does through.

 

Not 100% sure, but I think it’s only new purchases on credit cards getting jacked. My card has been on file with them for a year or more and hasn’t been affected yet on my stack payments.

 

I've had stuff on file with them for a few years, haven't had any issues yet. Not sure I understand new purchases only being affected. What would be the difference, whether it's charged now or charged later when it comes in? Maybe I'm just too tired to understand, hehe...been a long 12 hour day.

 

If the storage of the payment info is secure but the transmission of it to the payment authorizer isn't, it's getting picked up when the payment info is sent at the time of a purchase, i.e., when the card is being charged so-to-speak.

 

...it's either new purchases or new cards which are being compromised, but not saved cards: i was only hit upon entering new cards into their system for a long-standing preorder, but didn't make any new purchases, nor did i experience any fraud with my original, long-saved card...

...i suspect their vulnerability lies in the mechanism which receives or processes new card data...

 

Same here. Never had a problem with all of my transactions with TFS. Been using the same card for years, but I have been keeping an eye on it since this started being reported. So far so good, but there can be first time for anything, since nothing is 100% secure.

 

Oh I see, yeah, that's obvious I guess.

 

With Hoodlum out now, the suspense is killing me for Phoenix lol Has there been any more word on a shipping date? I'd presume have to wait until after CNY probably

 

Haven't read anything. But how awesome would a last minute release be? It is only 1500 units....

Hoping that since they have the tooling out to make a short run, that they knock out a batch of standard models too.

It would make sense from a manufacturing cost perspective

 

Guess TFS won't be getting this guy in before CNY, bummer...

I sure do hope that he is delayed to after CNY, because I sure don't have the money for it, if it's is released @ the end of this month.

 

I still have to shift around my collection to accommodate him. I plan this being my last purchase for a while, so I figured go big, literally lol
