Why would they even make that?

 

I honestly have absolutely no idea - it's a downgrade from the standard deco in every conceivable way. I'm bummed, since I was REALLY excited that my Exhaust figure was finally arriving today [after falling in love with his Wheeljack counterpart].

 

So open an ebay complaint and make them send you what you paid for.

 

I already did - hopefully they actually have the 'standard' version in stock still [he seems to be in limited supply at the moment]. Fingers crossed!

This was more of a gripe / pity party post, and maybe a possible heads-up to anyone else who has ordered Exhaust from Baba. Not trying to talk smack about the seller - I've only ever had great experiences buying from them, and I'm sure they'll make this right.

I also have him Pre-Ordered from @ShowZStore but I don't like to count my Pre-Orders before they Ship!

I considered that, but there are a ton of these 'Christmas Editions' available on eBay at the moment so I'm not convinced.

 

Thought I saw in a video review that only one of the guns is supposed to fit the shoulder (one with longer barrel).

 

shit, I ordered that too from him, hope he doesn't screw it up. It was listed as a preorder and it took him a couple of weeks to ship, so I hope that means I'm getting the non-Xmas deco

Mine was also listed as 'Pre-Order'.

Not trying to freak you out, but "it is what it is". I hope you get the right one, and I hope he has enough left to send me the correct one too.

Exactly. A big part of the appeal of these guys is the alt mode and deco. Without that it leans more in the "send the books" KO direction.

UPDATE! Baba just informed me that it was indeed a mixup on their part and the original Deco version of Exhaust is still on Pre-Order.

He offered me a $5 refund to keep the Xmas version...

 

I just got this in today and I’m very surprised at the tampos and paint. Alt mode is fantastic. Transformation is intuitive. Robot mode is okay - proportions are off a bit, and articulation isn’t as good as Magic Square.

Overall, I really like it. What other legends figures are TW going to do in the future?

 

I have Trailbreaker, Huffer and Exhaust waiting for Wheeljack to show up at TFSource.

 

Got this guy and he’s just Ok. The alt mode is awesome, but the lack of thigh or knee swivel really hinders the articulation and fun I’ve come to enjoy in the new legends class stuff. Can’t wait to see what MS does with him.

 

Also got the dumbass Xmas deco instead of the right one. I sent him a message about it, not sure if $5 will make me happy. It will cost more than it is worth to send it back, and I really don't want it.

Unfortunately, he's giving me a hard time about the return, which is frustrating since he's a trusted seller that I've bought quite a bit of stuff from... not to mention that the mix-up is 100% his fault.

Basically, he won't take "No" for an answer - first he offered me $5 to keep it, then $15... but I have absolutely no interest in the Xmas deco and want the original version that I paid [almost] $30 for.

Ultimately, I had to ask eBay to intervene on my behalf since he didn't reply to my last message [saying "No thanks, I'd prefer to just send it back and get a refund or have you send me the correct item] - still waiting for eBay's reply.

In the meantime, I ordered Exhaust through @ShowZStore.
