Hey @ibot, any chance you could answer some questions for me please? I'm really interested in buying these but want to know a few things first.

Are the car shells removable from the arms and legs? If so, is there any chance we could get a picture of Menasor without them attached please?
Also, are the arms connected to Motormaster or Motormaster's trailer?

 

And hollow fake cars. Thanks.

And those car parts are part of the limbs.

How can anyone that is not blind not see the arms have shells like when it was first rendered?

 

Welp looks like I'm aboard these for the time being. Will order them all at once if the combiner doesn't turn out to be a dumpster fire.

 

I hoped and expected from day 1 the faux shells would be optional for those that don’t like the idea, but looks like that’s not what they are going with - you can see, for example, that Dragstrip’s faux rear wing is pin jointed to the forearm block. Similar can be seen for other parts of the shells. Wouldn’t rule it out but don’t look like that’s the plan.

There are no car shells on the legs, unless you mean the faux wheels. They look like they help hold the leg bots in place, so I doubt they are removable either.

I’m 99% sure Motormaster is just scrunched up into a cube and sitting in a cavity in the Menasor torso, exactly like DX9’s. Shoulders will be part of the Menasor skeleton.

Heh heh woulda been funny watching the squirming! I didn’t even bother calling in the $10. Hopefully he donated it to charity!

 

Looks OK, though I'd like it to be a bit more accurate, like here. Then again it's no deal breaker. My big problem now is do I display him combined or separately... those figures are gorgeous.

EDIT: I mean the lines on the face, shape etc is good.

Welcome to like six months ago when they confirmed the shell garbage, that ship sailed eons ago. If you have to dig that deep to shitpost at least make it relevent to..... something.

 

I want a shell for my junk.

 

I'm getting this set for robot/alt modes, but I may do combined mode here & there until FansToys. If I end up not liking FT's combined then I'll go back to DX9's. I like these for robot mode, they're just the right side imo.

 

I'm not sure why some people are complaining about the combined mode shells.

it's looking like a great collectors item and will look awesome on display.

 

The thing I don’t get is how are the two arm limbs able to split in two pieces?

Just some tab/peg thing on the figures waist I expect. Just hope it’s tight enough they don’t like to fall apart in individual bot or alt mode.

 

Damn, dude. No need to be a sore loser. I realize he was kinda rubbing it in but you gotta admit you were kinda asking for it with how vehemently you were saying there wouldn't be shells.
