So mine is definitely V2 right? What was so wrong with V1? Was it so bad?

After finally transforming mine last knight, (which I had to watch a video for, since the instructions are shit), I have to say I'm pretty impressed. Truck mode looks great, and all the wheels sit flush on the ground. I had some issues with the one side not tabbing together well, but I'll reserve judgement until I have another go at the transformation.

I think the only criticism I have is that he doesn't have forward and backward ankle articulation, although I'm not even sure that would've been possible.

 

V1 is still my favorite figure of the year, so no, he was NOT so bad. But some people got copies with more issues than I did. Only thing I really need an improvement on is the loose-ish toe joints.

You should track down batteries for the head, he’s twice as awesome looking with the LEDs shining!

Yeah it’s really my only issue too. That and if the elbow armor could swing down with the forearm. I think they’d have to reengineer most of how the ankle works to do it.

 

The transformation of this toy has a moderate learning curve. While the transformation itself isn’t difficult, if you misalign or do minor stuff incorrectly, prepare to have a mess. Fourtunately, it’s made so that no piece breaks.

 

I think yours is the V1, because of the tampo flame paint on his left chest is slightly higher than his right side something I notice with all V2 UT adjusted that evenly. Also the flames on his forearms is a slightly darker tone red. But regardless you cant go wrong with either version the only real difference is V2 has tighter joints.

 

I can confirm that this fixes the issue 100%!
As well, little love from the Big Boss Murder Bot to you @Sup3hobo. There was a loud click of each leg getting into place and the ab crunch was not pushed all the way into the torso. Thumbs up my good man!

Now I just need a little bit of paint for the hands, and the eyes and he will be in the running for top 5 or 10 of 2018!

Also also... can confirm I have v2 because the paint is frigg’n cherry!

???? Really? But if mine is the V1, it has no loose hips or joints etc. They're pretty tight. And I still don't see the differences with the V2 pics that some has posted here. Maybe its the lighting coz I did take the photos from my last post late at night....Some here have said it's the V2, so colour me confused...hmmm...

 

The flames on his hands aren't as bright as his chest. I think you have a version 1that has some of the fixes.

 

Ah ok... Haha.. If thats the case, it doesn't really bother me. As long as the joints and all are tight, I'm good. It's still one fine masterpiece of a figure which deserves an award! Now if only I can find some batteries to try out the light up eyes!

They’re pretty easy to find on ebay. They typically sell in packs of around 8-10

Yes deffo V2, the V1 is a different darker but thinner shade of red on the forearms.

Also the gold is very faint on the V1 and doesn't always show up in photos.
