Has anyone had any experiences with Hobby Link Japan and replacing a figure that broke? Is it a simple return and replace? Or is it a long drawn out process?

I don't want to start a mass board hysteria so I won't mention what happened....but I need a new one. lol

I've already submitted this request through their Customer Service page along with a photo of the break. Just waiting to hear back.

My ironhide arrived earlier from kapow, joints seem all fine, though a tab was already broken off and rattling around in the box
But overall seems like I got a decent version and in the day my mum got the all clear from cancer so a good day!

I would imagine he's drawing attention to the "lock points" in those areas....but the issue is, none of them adequately work; unless he found a specific angle the pressure needs to be applied from/to?

I posted pics of my upcoming Mojo project and forgot to mention where I found him.

My Mojo started his life as an accessory to a Polly Pocket set. Costing all of $5.

did my best, anybody please correct me if I am wrong

    Starting from 1:04
"Let's look at the arm panel pegging issue. Right now mine is pegged, but any wide movements will loosen it. Actually, you have to tab it in a certain way. Note the tab is a fragile piece, so be careful. The tab connection is an angled piece [my own note- I think he means to wiggle it in at a certain angle, and that it will take users some time to find what works for them?]"

    2:00
"Shoulders issue. Before I said even when the tires are positioned inwards or any other method, there is no locking point for them. What I said still seems correct, however there is a method that holds the shoulders better for stability and display. I personally think it is the best way to display it. It is not easy to find this method because there are a lot of hinges. Allow me to explain: when I move this tire, the shoulder flops. So how should this be positioned? Swivel the truck part all the way into the chest. Now, locate a groove that tabs the wheel in place. Do you hear the click? This way, there's much more stability. At the very least I can hold the figure without it coming apart. While I don't think this was the original design purpose, this method works fine for owners of this figure or for those considering it. I wasn't wrong when I said the arm panels do not click in tightly: do not take this to mean the arm panels do not click in at all. If you are patient with the figure, you can get it to peg in, but I still think this is an oversight with HasTak. However, I welcome others to try and see if these methods improve your figure"

    This holy sh*t.

The instructions in these figures have been garbage, like, they even tried?.
Even the drawings from the 2007 would be more acceptable.

Do the backsides of the wheels in the torso in robot mode have slots to tab into?

No that's the dumb part. There are already tabs there, and they intersect with the inside of the shoulder, so why the hell didn't they think to just have holes there for them to tab in to?? It's so obvious it hurts. If they really wanted people to have more posability we could just untab them when needed.

No shoulder fixes but I think I’m getting close to a perfect alt mode. In the pics you can see I ALMOST have perfect grill, hood and windshield alignment but the doors are bowed out and the roof won’t fully collapse. My assessment is that it all comes down to his arms and fist needing to be perfectly angled and folded up just right for everything else to fall into place. Also the windshield tabs at the end and middle when fully seated really help keep a lot of the front end of the cab in place. I had to file my tabs just a hair to get them to press all the way in.

And a pic of him next to bmb Optimus for good measure. Sorry for poor cell phone photography in bad lighting.

Well that's a damn shame. Thanks for letting me know. I might pass this up and wait for another run later on eventually. Even the Japanese and Chinese reviews I read left reviewers wishing this thing had more locking tabs and better qc control. At this point we know this thing needed more secure connections and where, they just weren't implemented.

It's like dejavu with MPM04, I felt it was very close to being figure of the year but just a few things knocked it down from where it really could've been. It's like a pattern for bigger MPM figures(Prime and Ironhide so far).

One Japanese review mentioned using the entire chest halves as joints themselves I think but even the reviewer was returning his since it broke(not sure if he got a Hasbro release or Takara).

Have you tried moving the shoulder ratchets inwards by one click?

Just got mine and wow... that was so frustrating. One of the most annoying transformations yet, Getting everything aligned was a nightmare!
