I have the Yes Model MP11 Coneheads. The level of detail on these looks better than the Meteor seekers but they'd have to step up the plastic quality/feel to sell me on these. I didn't like the thin, brittle-feeling, shiny plastic on Meteor. If they've improved that, I wouldn't mind having a new and slightly more articulated set of Coneheads on my shelf. They tend to be on a separate shelf from the seekers so would still keep the MP-11 YM seekers. Really the only downside at that point would be the loss of articulated fingers, which are a must on seeker-sized MPs, imho.

to this day I don't own a single seeker.

kinda glad. It's a terrible rabbit hole I don't want to go near.

If I'm going to invest in a full set of seekers, they need to be of high standard. No cut corners. MP-11 doesn't do it for me due to its limited articulation. I had a nearly complete set of TT's seekers, but sold them when I actually looked past the Takara label and realised they sucked. And I've already stated my feelings on Meteor. He's an improvement but still misses the mark.

They're better than the TT ones I have but I have better things to do with $400 so I'll pass.

Damn their legs look as funny and out of place as on Meteor and CO.

I've heard that Zeta was planning on doing Seekers, but didn't realize any renders had slipped out. Where might one see those? I'm mostly curious, can't imagine I'd want them. The only thing I want Zeta to do is the one thing they do better than anyone else: making stable and reasonably affordable combiners. Anything else is a waste of their (and my) time.

There was a prototype at a show a year or so back, but I can't remember which one. Hopefully somebody else in here can remember and put up a link to the pics.

I beleive it's been confirmed that these are now a Zeta product. Been quiet since SGC 2017 though.

Thanks @Starganderfish , now that I see these photos I do remember hearing about this (and seeing the pictures!), but it had been such a long time - and Zeta has been so quiet about it - that I'd forgotten they were a Zeta project. I was interested at the time, but now that I've finally given in on the MT Seekers I'm not sure I want to go down this particular rabbit hole.

I've dallied with the idea of picking up the MT seekers, but I eventually decided against it.

    1) Two of my TT seekers were purchased by my wife. They have high sentimental value.
    2) Although they're clearly different, the Toyworld Coneheads have really nice shelf presence. They look like serious bruisers - almost the jocks to the original 3's preppy kids. I do like the additional height and look. Given that they're S2 fellas and had to rub shoulders with real war machines like the Triple Changers and Combaticons, they just seem right.
    3) I've never handled the MT seekers, but Toyworld's seekers have just the right amount of posability and sturdiness to me. They're just solid, solid builds that the other MT figures I have don't possess.

Just my personal thoughts - everyone's mileage is bound to vary.

I agree comepletly on all your points. These guys and Toyworld's Prime (Primorion) were very underrated releases that I got on good deals a bit ago.

I won't get rid of the Toyworld versions... I'm just trying to decide if I need a second Seeker shelf...

Haha. Well, I'd hold out. Maybe they'll go gonzo and do Welcoming Committee/Rainmaker redecos. Those I'd totally buy.
