Yeah, judging by Knight's statement, and the fact that Simmons' cameo was a last minute decision, it sounds like Bumblebee being a prequel might be the more likely option at this point.

Also, from what I understand, the reshoots weren't done to remove connections to previous movies. It sounds like they were done to streamline the story and characters (which is normal for movies). Removing Burns' backstory doesn't make it less of a prequel. Also, if Megatron's cameo looked like his G1 self, removing that scene might have been done to make it fit in with the '07 movie better. Possibly also to preserve the surprise that Megatron is even on Earth (for people that watch them in chronological order).

 

Funnily enough a time travel movie was mentioned by Lorenzo as a possibility next (can’t spell his last name)

 

Cliffjumper got the Lockdown death treatment by Dropshots sword.
CJs head looked good, was a closeup scene on his face that showed alot of expression.
Not sure what moon he was on, looked like Saturns.

The human parts are super corny but the TF scenes are so good and refreshing as hell.
Except for Bee , he was like a puppy.lol
Forgiveable since its a Bee movie, but those Cons! The Decepticons steal the entire show.

Dropkick is the most gruntlike of the main Cons, and even one of his scenes alone has more personality than all the Bay Cons.
His fight with Bee makes Barricade look like a child.
I appreciate the generic seekers now, because they have contrast with the main Cons, they make them shine.
Angela Basset also displays some of the best girl power out there.Very convincing. I take Shatter very serious now, unlike Supergirl.lolol
I think Blitzwing was just another generic seeker but the movie shows that even they have more personality than the Bayverse TFs. You can actually hear the determination in his voice, like he read the script.

Fav scene was Ravage vs Prime.
Optimus takes out a few seekers like a badass, then Soundwave appears and ejects ONLY Ravage.
Now after seeing Prime destroy some Cons hero style, you'd expect him to debone Ravage who was running towards him like Bee did.

Nope, its G1 Ravage, and he f#$ks Prime up until thrown off, and lands in a beautiful picture perfect scene with Ravage hissing at the screen.

G1 Shockwave fans will get a tear in their eyes when they hear how glorious his voice sounds in this.

So I was on TVTropes.com some pretty interesting topics and information on there and on the Bumblebee Movie page someone pointed out this under the mythology gag tagline.

Can anyone see any similarities between the two Vehicon Generals from Beast Machines and the two Triple Changers from Bumblebee?

 

I think it goess back to Charlie scenes. Only like 2 or 3 Cybertron scenes sprinkled in to break up the human drama.

The military is a joke in this. Mostly John Cena with background people.

When the military attacks Shatter, its only John Cena flying a chopper by himself.

 

Literally, and I mean literally, all the cons run at Prime and Prime is left in the middle of this huge ass circle of cons charging towards him. I’m assuming we’ll find out what happened in the Prime movie if they do it.

Plus how did shatter and dropkick get earth car modes when they were talking to cliffjumper.. as he was on a different planet.? They didnt even arrive to earth till later.?

 

Because they didn't have their Earth modes then. They had their Cybertronian modes.
