How does this work exactly? No grinding for special fuel cells, right? How long does the raid last?

    Ebay:
When: Tomorrow at 11am London time till Thursday 11am London Time

    What: Alliance Raid

    Where: uh.. Transformers Earth Wars

    How:
9 bases ranging in strength from zones 1-7

Everyone in the alliance has 5 attempts, in total, to use over the 48 hour event.
If you use your attempts in one alliance you can't jump and get more somewhere else...
    You get 5..that's it!

It's like any Totalizer in that not every alliance will complete it.

The "strategy" is how to maximize your damage for each attempt and maximize the points earned over the 48 hours.

It looks like the details for this weekend event leaked. It's a totalizer for the alliance, but with the "bonus points" twist they've been doing in individual events. One of the bigger oddballs in our group seems to think this is a sign the game is becoming "an elitist mess." Can't wrap my head around that one.

Not agreeing or disagreeing with him at this point (too early to tell) but I understand his standing. Leaderboards are already designed for the top spenders. They get the best prizes and alliances under 300 get minimal prizes.

If events start shifting towards this alliance style with "bonus thrust crystals" the top players will obviously boost and spend their time and money in their alliance to get the thrust crystals. So, the f2p, new, or "small" spender alliances will be in their own.

With this, there will be a very wide gap between big spenders and everyone else. Big spenders alliances get huge prizes, general alliances get nothing.

I'm for this style in individual events because then it's entirely dependant on JUST the player. Just their effort and money. Adding in the alliance dynamic, it makes a greater divide.

All this to say, if you don't spend big in alliances with big spenders you can't compete or advance much in the game . If this alliance style becomes the norm, then yes, it would be an "elitist" style game.

I hope that isn't the case. I'm a f2p player, can't be spending hundreds of dollars just to get the best bots, etc. I prefer alliance totalizers that guarantee high star bots without worrying about other alliances that can put up millions of points in record time.

He's the one who complains because he can't contribute much... because he's literally only leveling one specific squad, and ignoring all his other bots.

most current alliance events are in 400-480k range. thats 10-12k per player nothing elitist there. f2p max is over 30k now.

regarding current midweek event, se spent 60 attempts to finish it. i have also seen some much weaker teams using less attempts than us vs certain bases ( like last harderst base we used 14 one other team used 11)

It's still a totalizer, which means there is a finite amount of points. The top spenders will still finish incredibly early and go help other alliances like they've been doing.

To be clear I was not agreeing with orr disagreeing with this point. Just saying what it was and the opinion. I'm not dissatisfied with the game nor have issues with new event styles.

Correct it's a "totalizer" with substantial bonus points, probably to 1 mil. I can't recall but what... Top 100 alliances got 1 million? On leaderboards? I can't recall. So most people outside the top will be busy in their alliance. No reason to leave when you can connect the thrust crystals.

Alliance Totalizer is 400k even with the "bonus" prizes. So those who want to alliance hop should have no trouble doing so.

Lol. Yes, they just released that information this morning, well after my post.

I was incorrect on point totals. Given how solos points go this is a surprise. Really nice of SA.

Just to be clear, I wasn't replying to you directly/in response to your post. I was just posting the info for everyone, after I saw what the official total was from the newsletter. I should have been more clear about that originally.

So, er, Goldfire and Ramjet have been added to the roster of bots I don't have. Any info on when these two are getting a storyline/event? I expect the idea is that Bumblebee is wrecked by Rodimus Unicronus and needs to be rebuilt?

Honestly surprised that it's taken them this long to put in the Coneheads.

Weird explanation for Goldfire. Very Centurion. Looking forward for the one of Ramjet. Is he from the past or not.

I'd rather have had them finish defensor and abominus off but eh, still happy to see the cone heads make it. Now they need to hurry and get to thrust lol.
