That 3rd party Hound is pretty good, I think MP Hound would look better with a little more detailing like it has. MP Hound certainly isn't exactly what I want in that figure but that's just the way the line is now so I either buy it or wait and see if they release a more toy detailed version. At the current release rate I don't think I can wait...

 

Yeah I'd have to say I'm still good with FT Hound honestly. Way better paint, wish they would've shown him with the other facesulpt, much better than the silver one.

 

I'm surprised they made this one, I thought they only make ones that have at least 3 possible repaints. Last I checked Hound was a lone wolf mold.

That guy isn't a diaclone. Not even a likely story being from Junkion and looking just like hound for desert combat. I'm thinking they could go golden lagoon after the initial run. Was that guy an ehobby toy?

Darker green and chrome guns is hardly a repaint to me. Looking for different heads, plastic colors and retooling to some degree.

 

Sunstorm wasn't a Diaclone either. I don't see a reason to disqualify Detritus from getting a release on that basis. As long as the deco was used on the original toy it should be fair game.

And Road Rage shows they'll do new heads and retooling to set a repaint apart from the first use, even if they weren't done on the original toy. Detritus could get new parts.

 

Hoping so, I like the desert paint but would like a different face or head.

Although Hound's cartoon face isn't that different from his toy, I still imagine Detritus and a possible + repaint of Hound would have a different, more angular sculpt.
They'd also no doubt come with a toy-accurate rifle. Same as MP-42.
Not sure if there's any other parts they could change (like Cordon's shins), but I'm sure the mirrors and winch will be chromed for toy Hound.

Hah, since his hair-drier obviously folds up I wonder if it’ll be stored in his alt-mode like Wheeljack’s is, as an exhausy pipe. It has the look to it.

 

I'm more expecting his pistol to form part of the rifle in car mode.

 

They only reveal that, but no article on it's release or number.

The weapons need to be redesigned. They just look small and puny. Outside of that it looks good.

 

I'm actually fine with his weapons, I'm guessing everything is going to be a part/stored in his alt mode. Then again they gave Sunstreaker 2 guns, he might have another.
