i agree on this....I think its such a stupid name. I mean I get why they now have to call him this but its so silly. I can't take it seriously.

I was talking about the soundtracks. But if you read my other post, you can see I mention Most Wanted as it was one of the first games I ever owned.

 

Battlefront 2 is easily not the most overrated Star Wars game but maybe one of the most overrated games in general.


I can pick up easily a top 5 or 10 of star wars games and the original BF 2 is nowhere near in that top. (kotor and the jedi knight series comes to my mind)

Even the most beloved game mode (space battle and capital ships mechanics) are not that great neither the best in its franchise.

 

The Echo/deviated characters in Smash are usually more fun/interesting to play than the originals

Remixes are good, but original has something special in it that makes it stand up among them.

Yeah. Isn't it just the same story as the Cat in the Hat anyway? Instead of a cat guy it's a umbrella lady.

 

I didn't see that movie until I was 28 because it was rented by my then girlfriend for her kids to watch. I didn't see some nostalgic children's story that was timeless, I saw a gorgeous British brunette dressed like a 19th century librarian. I don't know what the appeal is for kids with the first one, but I know what the appeal is for me.

Besides Scorpion and Sub Zero I don't like any other MK ninjas. Reptile is sort of ok but the rest are just superfluous. Why did there need to be one for every color? This isn't Kool-aide man.

I also kind of hate the MKX designs for both of them. Hopefully 11 fixes it.

 

I think the whole ninja thing got out of hand largely due to the fans though. Really outside of Sub-Zero and Scorpion all the others started as easy to make secret fights (Reptile, Smoke, Noob, etc.) who would turn out so popular with the fans that they'd be brought in as playable characters in the next game, fan rumors such as Ermac and Skarlet who neber really existed prior to their first appearances as playable characters in later games, or guys like Rain who was only intended as a joke/homage to Prince (Purple Rain) in the UMK3 opening and was only made playable in home versions of UMK3 and MKT due to fan demand.

Seriously, too many ninjas in every color? Blame the fandom. It's actually one of the reasons I appreciate their more modern looks from Deadly Alliance onwards compared to their first appearances as simple pallet swaps as it helps to differentiate and give them more individual personality.

As for MK 11... what we currently know is the story will have the teo different timelines and possibly ones we don't know about yey converging. Given that we're likely to see both modern and classic redesigns based on the two Scorpions we've seen in the first promo trailer. I'm actually really looking forward to MK11 due to the potential of the converging timelines story. Kind of like their version of Crisis on Infinite Earths.
