I saw this display for the Bumblebee movie on Friday at a local Wal-Mart here in Longview, TX and finally saw the mini bots there as well! I don't know if anyone else has seen this yet, but thought that I would post it here to see if it is newsworthy or not!

Forget Ephrata too. No display at all. Maybe the geniuses will put them back online for $3 after not even trying to sell them in stores (toys at Christmas, crazy I know). Seems to be Walmart's MO the last few years.

Hey, if you can get diarrhea to stack vertically, I'm sure Walmart would be interested in hearing how :)

Welcome to my neck of the woods, I could've saved you the trip to Ephrata.

Not saying you didn't, but make sure you (and everyone hunting) check the entire store. I found the display nowhere near the toy department, in the back of the store between clothes and electronics sections. Good luck!

Around here... the grape vine said "hey, they have TFs at the dept store!!" - and you RAN.. and you'd buy whatever one they had that you didn't already have. There was no such thing as 'looking for a certain figure' - you'd just be happy for WHATEVER figure showed up. They were super limited availability in my area for the first few waves. Once the minibots came around tho... interest was fading because compared to the diaclone toys... they SUCKED. I kinda remember the insecticons and devestator being the last toys I was chasing in the store.

Hey dudes......if Bumblebee is ever plentiful and easy to get at retail, would anyone be willing to grab one for me?

I'll get something of equal value here in Japan, and then next year when I visit my folks in the States, we can mail then to keep shipping domestic!

PM me if you're interested/willing! THANKS!

Thank guys, I think I have the first edition of that book. If he does a new edition of his Tranformers book I hope he adds the Japanese exclusive toys from the end of G1 (Masterforce, Victory).

Wow it works, that just lit up the board green. And showing numbers too! Several locations have 72 which sounds like a pretty full pallet (9 cases).

"Old people?" Who you calling old?!? :p

1986 was nothing like that. There was a great variety and nothing was short packed or made into a chase figure to drive up the price on the secondary market. In 1986, when you walked into a toy store, you probably found what you were looking for.

Granting that Skids was a 1985 figure, I imagine he'd like a word with you.

    Minib.jpg

Found these on my lunch break, finally. This confirms the Wal-Mart in Worcester, MA has them in stock. They are in the big yellow Bumblebee display set up in the middle of the isle, near the toy section.
