As part of brand unification can we get an alternate Peter Cullen sound chip pretty please?

 

I'll probably go thru the sounds once. If it were Peter, I'd go thru them at least three times before never listening to them again. LOL

 

I hope someone comes up with replacement with Peter Cullen.

After reading the interview and learning about the voice clips, I gotta say that MP44 is the way to go for me. It's... wow. It's enchanting. The Transform Element and Magic Square versions also have different things they offer that seem likable but they don't have the effort in realism that MP44 strives for.

Transform Element's truck mode legs sticking out the way they do looks odd and not like a truck cab. Magic Square borrows a bit too much from the MP10 mold from transformation down to the legs in truck mode looking not a lot like a real truck. Oh my gosh. I just realized that my decision is fueled a lot on the appearance of the truck mode! I didn't know I wanted Optimus Prime's truck mode to look like a truck this bad since... Well since the G1 toy!

I'm happy there is a version out there for everyone though, but design-wise (and yes it's a rip-off cost-wise) I am definitely fastened to MP44.

 

The shins are not blue like that. It's miscolored.

 

Is it just me or does the back half of the truck look pretty garish...

 

Only thing i'm disappointed is that they made the back unnecesarily bigger for the voice box, for the better or worse, it may create an uglier profile view than MP-10, IMO. That's why i never bought the MB or APS01-U versions of the leader OP.


Also it should've been LEDs intead of sounds (unless it includes both)

BUT another little bit i'm not happy with, is that the jetpack being red is a mistake, it could've been grey and it would look 100000x times better. (and be honest, it was always intended to be grey)

With TRU gone an US version seems impossible and far from our times, maybe unless Hasbro starts an exclusive amazon shop.

 

I'd like to see someone redo this with pictures of the actual toys in it  

 

I have no doubt a 3P will come out with one, probably not necessarily the backpack, but I’m sure we’ll see one.


On the same note, kind of, wouldn’t it be amazing to get MP-44’s glorious box signed by Cullen?

He doesn’t really do Cons anymore, does he?

 

Takara does an english version... but mistakingly uses Gary Chalk instead of Peter Cullen.

I would love to see the confused look on peoples’ faces when they hear Optimus Prime shout “Optimus Primal... Maximize!” And “That’s just Prime”.

I would gladly pay $450 + for that (wife be damned).

I know I'd be at least a little confused if I was him.

 

I expect a repaint soon with cartoon flat blue and white instead of silver on arms.

 

Not anymore but from what I heard it’s quite similar to what often happens on here: the unhappy ones are always more vocal.

 

I guess we will see all previous releases as repainted cartoon accurate versions sooner or later (with a much higher price).
