UGH, I am still waiting on my V2. Based on the great feedback here I ordered from ShowZ instead of my usual Chinese seller and got notice it shipped on November 29th. Gave me two tracking numbers, one for China and one for when it hits the states and gets handed over to FedEx. First tracking shows it arrived in Customs Dec 2nd then sits there for 7 days. Dec 9 says it was released from Customs. I think, Yeah! My stuff should be here tomorrow! I live in Socal so once something clears customs I get it the next day 99% of the time. As of Dec 15th, Fed Tracking still shows Shipping label has been created. The status will be updated when shipment begins to travel.

 

Talk me off the ledge here guys, is this normal?

 

Nah, nothing special like that. I will try to make some comparisons to V1 since I don’t have that one (made sure it was V2 from franks and sons).

 

Done! You were right. I stand corrected. I had to mess and fiddle around with that part for the wheel well and now it's aligned! The feet also aligns now thanks to the wheel well on it's groove.

To swap the faces, do they just pop off and on, or do you have to unscrew the screw in the back of his head?

 

pops off and on. It takes some wiggling but the screw is for the battery compartment.

 

My V2 will be here next week. Super excited.

 

Yeah. Pretty tricky to remove the face. Tilt the head upwards and pull and wiggle it around from beneath the chin.. Won't come off instantly, give it a few tries.

Wish they had included batteries though.. I have yet to test the lighted eyes....

Hmmm.. So is mine the V1 or V2? I just can't seem to tell. When I bought it at the local store here, it did just arrive and I picked it up from inside the shipping box amongst many other Challengers, so i reckon it's the V2.... Is it?

I thought it was the reverse; that the accessories only came with those NOT in the first batch. But I honestly haven't been following this thread that closely for a while until just a few days before I got mine.

 

Ah ok.. I thought so. I just can't see the difference though unless I have the V1 in hand.

 

I got mine Friday from The Chosen Prime. They have the fastest free shipping I've ever used. 3 days from Arizona to Michigan.
Man I love this figure. My only gripe is putting the batteries in. They are so little and the place to put them in is a tiny bit smaller than what you need. They worked fine in the "good" Prime head but the other head flexed the plastic so much that the button wouldn't "click". I ended up cutting a piece of plastic off a Placker (Plastic tooth flossing stick) that fit perfectly in the gap by the button and glued it in there. Now the button works fine.
I can not wait for their Megatron figure they're working on!

 

Any tips on getting the window visor to close and stay closed in alt mode?

 

Hmmm.. Did you get everything on the inside lined up correctly? The arms, shoulder pads and chest pieces that folds into the cab area is pretty complicated. I had to watch Emgo's video a few times during that step to see how it's done. You need to get those right. Then the cab windows should be able to peg together with a bit of a squeeze.
