Finally. I won't say it looks good, because I personally hate that comic design, but it's a step closer to finishing off the DJD.

 

I swear he looks like an old school Mega Man boss. Grind Man or something.  

Still, looks interesting all painted up. Not so interested in the whole DJD crew, but this one stands out. Have to think on this one.

 

These need to hurry up! Tarn, Vos and Kaon are lonely...

 

Initially I was only interested in Helex, but I really like what I am seeing here. Hope this guy hits somewhere next year (Helex probabely won't be out until 2020 I assume).

 

The beige, large, flat surfaces on the feet and legs are so boring. I'm glad they added beveled edges to put in at least a modicum of interest.

MMC's announced slate of upcoming Reformatted products is surprisingly light on Voyager-sized figures. I'll be glad when we see another one come up.

 

He has none of his paint or surface treatment atm. The red getting its metalic coat and the large areas of silver on the treads/details along with the secondary dark gold accent that will be applied to the claws and whatnot will make a huge difference.

And yeah don't worry mmc doesn't have any other big guys to update us with except grimlock now given the 2019 huge toy roster is well filled at this point. Everything else is going to be back to usual size stuff.

 

This guy's looking sick as hell. I wonder if the shredder bit opens up so he can shred smaller figures/be cleaned by Nickel? Either way, I'm loving the grabby arms. I'm kinda ambivalent about these guys as characters, but Milne sure knows how to make a kickass character design.

 

My comment was more about the original comic design, which just has those large, flat, rectangular surfaces. I just wish there something more interesting going on there, such as unconventional shapes, panel lines, pistons, or something.

(On a related note, I really like the sculpting Flame Toys did to make Tarn's plain white thighs more interesting.)

Assuming then that Solidus Magnum and Mors are going to be 2020? Anyway, looking forward to more Voyagers.

Although I want to complete the DJD, if the price is stupid, I won't buy. MMC is taking so long and the DJD is well no longer a kick ass team.

 

Don't know about electronics, but there's a round knob-shaped thing in his back. I wonder if it's geared to move the grinders.

 

No electronics, please. They would dramatically increase the price for a feature that would be used once in a blue moon or never at all by most purchasers.

 

Sorry I probably phrased that previous comment badly. I was purely referring to entirely new things or things with substantial new changes and although we might get some new reveals in 2019 I doubt it'll result in anything new of the bigger variety releasing in 2019 or going through major developments beyond what you guys already have seen. MMC can only put out so much in a year and the existing big toys are going to eat up a lot of the 2019 roster as is and that includes Helex probably dropping in the 2nd half of 2019.

So you're saying there is a Helex in the pipe, presumably for late 2019, although I'd guess it'll be more like 2020 with the bigness
