Cancelled my PO for this because I needed a washing machine and I AM KICKING MYSELF. Yeesh.

Obviously this is a prototype and the paint isn't final but the darker gray on the biceps looks a little odd. Should be a lighter silver, closer to the thighs.

Meh. I guess. This is always the problem with colors, they change so much on the screen.

It's all a matter of perspective. I guess I've always pictured this version of Prime as being more "vibrant" and less dark than some other iterations. This figure still looks amazing though and I'm really eager to see more photos this weekend!

 

Kinda, I guess. TFP OP undoubtedly uses multiple gray tones. You can even see it in your pic where the lighter, shiny chrome wraps around his "ribs" before it meets the duller, darker gunmetal gray on his back, around his smokestacks. The same goes for his thighs. Chrome in the front, gunmetal in the back.

Okay this looks amazing! I take back all of my criticism of the colors. He looks so good. It's great seeing all the fine details of the design.

 

Alright! Where's the pre-order button?  

 

According to the Art of TFPrime book (amazing, btw), the artists chose WHITE as the color of his biceps as an homage to G1 Prime. I think the different grayish hues may be coming from the effects of light and shadow under his big shoulder armor.
