Have you tried ebay? I know it might be a bit pricey, but other than that I don't see any other sources. I guess you could wait and hope some stores get some in, but that seems doubtful since its a very limited item.

The regular version is going for a $300+. I'm sure the new painted version once it hits ebay will go for more than $500+ to start with.

ebay has the 15% off today if that helps.

    Good luck

He might get lucky. I got mine on eBay near the beginning of the year for less than he originally retailed. Was just fortunate that the guy who listed him did it at an odd time of night, so I was the only person bidding come the end of the auction. Still probably my favourite figure overall, just in terms of toon accuracy, quality and ease of transformation. The only FT figure I have no real complaints about.

Thinking of selling my original copy once the X version drops, but gonna wait and see if its worth keeping both or just the one.

if anyone wants it, please send me a PM and I'll reach out to you once I've made the choice. Will be shipping from Asia though...

Yea, I've been checking it pretty often. I had a decently priced NIB Phoenix in my basket a few weeks ago for their last set of coupons, still pricey but not more than $300 (before coupon!) It was from a seller on the approved China seller list and I had bought from them before. I didn't realize I had to act fast and I took too long to checkout because I wanted to order some other figures at the same time. And someone else snagged it.

I know that FansToys will re-issue the standard version it at some point. And it's worth waiting for. But I didn't know/realize how they limit these X versions and I think they're going to be very hard to find from here on out.

Oh FansToys just started teasing that release on the Hydra box art...FT-48 right?

Perhaps you could snag a regular version on the 2nd hand market once the x-version is released?

I know a couple of X versions for sale still.
Due to shipping only interesting for people living in Europe and they are 300 euros a pop.

    • It's intended to be a limited run, like all their X variants
    • They actually increased the quantity after the initial quantity sold out so fast. Retailers added the additional quantity after it sold out the first time, so that more people could get in on it
    • FT made it clear that was a one-time thing, they weren't going to continue to increase the size of the run again
    • The regular FT-10 had at least one reissue several months after its release. If you missed out on both, that's basically your choice
    • If you're new to collecting, the smart thing to do at this point is to wait until FT-10X arrives at customers' homes and they start listing either their regular FT-10 or the FT-10X for sale, depending on which one they're keeping. Most are not likely to keep both so there will be plenty of Phoenixes on the market at that time. Or you can over-pay for one in the meantime

I kinda wish I hadn't canceled the BBTS pre-order I had for this guy...

Ah well, I probably wouldn't have kept him anyway, as my normal version is perfect.

The first point he made addressed you. It’s a limited run. LIMITED. I’v been waiting on there insecticons for like a year now . Im pretty sure there not going to be revisiting them anytime either. Word of advice , preorder everything , and then cancel if you decide otherwise.

I'm sorry you found facts and advice to be "highly condescending". They were intended to clarify how the FT-10X release went, which included FT doing as much as they could to not "leave money on the table", and then provide a recommendation for how someone might get an FT-10 if they missed all four opportunities to get Phoenix: the original, the reissue, the X version initial allotment, and the X version increased quanitity.

The only thing I can think is you might have mistaken the "If you're new to collecting" phrase to refer to you specifically rather than to those who are new to collecting like FMBB a few posts above yours, which was the intended audience for that phrase.
