Sign me up for Teenage Mutant Ninja Spaceknights. Written and drawn by Tom Scioli.

This morning I opened the pantry, and realized I was out of bread! Surely this is a sign that IDW is losing the license!

They're both pieces of shit, though. Just look at how Ryall through fans under the bus during his exit interview. And that's putting aside all the stuff with Shitterson.

Conspiracies my ass. Most all of the story lines up far too well with what actually happened for it all to be "conspiracies". IDW and Hasbro obviously sorted out their issues in order for IDW to keep the license (and it's not likely that anyone else would get or even want to get the Transformers license anyway), but considering sales numbers alone, it hasn't been looking good for IDW lately.

And that's putting aside the aforementioned insults he threw at fans because some people haven't been happy with stupid politics being pushed so shamelessly in recent books.

But please do go on about how it's all just conspiracy theories and how Ryall isn't a massive asshole who prefers social justice and attacking fans over telling good stories.

That’s what fans get when comics are made by activists instead of professionals.

I wonder if any of you guys could name any comics (not licensed by Hasbro) that IDW publishes without looking at Google. Because some of you seem to think the only thing they do is publish Transformers.

They are getting all kinds of Liceses from Marvel, Star Trek and other IP’s. They just killed Rocketeer Reborn and they are blowing through quite a bit of Capital. I say they go bankrupt around late 2019 or 2020.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, The Maxx, and Ragnarok are a few I collect. They also purchased Top Shelf which makes Alan Moore's League of Extraordinary Gentleman, which I also read. I can’t exactly prove that I didn’t google this, but I could snap some photos of my longbox if you really require evidence.
They publish several Judge Dredd series licensed from 2000AD and the most excellent Comic Book History of Comics by Fred Van Lente which I recommend for anyone interested in the history of comics. Need I go on? Wyonna Earp, which has been adapted by SyFy, an all-ages Star Wars comic titled "Star Wars Adventures", several Disney comics, Back to the Future, Ghostbusters, and most recently an all-ages Spider-Man book.

Davewire, you clearly read comics and are not at all the kind of person I'm referring to, which I hope would have been made apparent by saying "Because some of you seem to think the only thing they do is publish Transformers." You know who Bill Mantlo is, for instance. My thing is that I'm getting tired of people weighing in about the state of IDW that don't have any clue about it besides they publish Transformers comics they don't like or whatever the problem du jour is. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I really think that some folks around here should work on making their opinions informed ones.

For some reason, that fact is verboten. I once tried to make a news story about it and was told not to. :tumbleweed:

...is this supposed to be some sort of argument? You realize that IDW has been a recognizable brand since TWD, right?

Assuming you mean 30 Days of Night, and not The Walking Dead, which is not published by IDW, yes.

My point is that there are a handful (perhaps more than a handful) of people who have big opinions about IDW and what's going on there, but are pretty ignorant about it in general.

Hey- I have a fantastical idea: Chuck Wendick could use some comic book employment. Maybe IDW can bring him in too.

Did I say Chuck Wendick? Oh, I’m sorry- I meant to say ‘Wendig’. My bad.

IDW publishes Star Wars comics. So it's likely. Hopefully it happens.

I wouldn't get my hopes up for ROM reprints. If they can't finish GI Joe and Transformers, ROM would be a hard sell. Not to mention they already have their "cleaned up" scans for GI Joe.

While I've enjoyed some Doctor Who, GI Joe (Hama's title, that is) and X-Files, I've really been into (some of) their Artist Editions as well as their deluxe hardcovers of Turtles, Disney, and especially their newspaper comics reprints.
I'm a sucker for their hardcovers.

I picked up the Jusko Marvel Masterpieces over the summer. WOW! Great book! 20180720_073859.jpg 20180720_073942.jpg 20180720_073952.jpg 20180720_074011.jpg

Only thing that would have made it perfect for my nostalgia would be if it had the 1992 series 1 cards. Everything from Jusko's roots in NYC, his comments on paintings he didn't like like Legion and him hating doing Iron Man(s). Awesome book.

I wish Jim Lee had a book like this.
