News of further delays...

 

A basic rundown of the transformation would be cool. But I’ll take anything new really, even just one image.

But we should get more, no way they'll not gonna feature this beast with at least a full page.

 

I think the guys who uploaded the photos earlier were only concerned about mp44. The book is like an annual of sorts filled with the releases for the year. Even if we didn't see his stuff from figure king, there would be something for him and 20+, even mp40 and the tapes were in the last one. So I'm pretty sure there should be something coming

We're all hoping! @Sam, I know you're not in here often--but when your copy arrives will you hook us up, if the far flung Beast Wars fans of the internet haven't done so yet? I can't imagine that there is nothing... obviously there will be less of a feature than Optimus Prime, but I'd have to imagine he gets at least a page with some concept sketches. He's too big ticket an item not to promote him in that book!

 

I'm guessing if he is in the book the reason there's been no photos is it's just showing stock photos or nothing new. I'm getting in the book on Thursday, if there is anything worth scanning I'll do so  

 

@Robotkingdom have changed his release date on their site for March 2019...

More of a pamphlet than a book?

 

It's definitely a book, but apart from the spread on MP-44, there's just one page for MP-43, and then one other page with 17+, 29+, 20+, 34S, 36+ and and Cordon altogether. No design sketches or anything for MP-43.

 

Though to be fair, your scans are still nice and clear, @Sam!   If anyone wants to see them, they're over in the dedicated magazine thread.

 

Goddamn it.. I need to buy a new cheetor to replace mine as it's arm panel broke off, but I can't afford to buy a new Cheetor AND Megatron in the same month. That's too much... That timing is terrible for me. Why not spread it out a little?

 

Dang I should have been in here sooner...just hooked myself up for Megatron, Cheetor, and Dinobot this year. Probably will grab Primal first once my paycheck comes in...but man that sucks to hear there’s nothing new in the Gen book! This guy looks fantastic.

 

Listening to David Kaye's Christmas message got me thinking. How easy is it to replace a sound chip in a toy? Are they a standard bit of tech?

 

If you know your way around the Arduino it should be fairly straightforward.

 

Quick semi-related question:

How much do you guys think would be reasonable to sell a Masterpiece Cheetor with a broken arm guard? I want to sell one to raise the funds to buy a new one when a reissue happens.

Other than the broken arm panel, it's fully complete including box and instructions.

 

You’ve got an opened, used and slightly broken first run piece so you probably want to knock about 15-20% off your local going rate to make it appealing over the re-issue.
