Maybe this has already been asked, but what are the odds that we could get a couple SG redecos from this line? I mean, we somehow got SG Rodimus in the main line, so it doesn't seem that impossible...

Maybe? I could see OP (Siege mold), maybe Starscream (Siege) or Grimlock (PotP). I think there are a few dual-threat ideas - Goldbug (a movie or Prime Bumblebee deco), Ricochet (Zoom Zoom), UM (Delta Magnus), and Thundercracker (AM TC) - but some of them are just not sufficiently unique (Jazz is a straightforward example, but Megs and Galvatron have decos that aren't wildly different from their non-SG versions, and Blurr is just a shade of blue different).

I still want SG Megatron from TR Black Shadow... then to counter him in the same size, they could do the SG Prime from POTP Optimus and the Nemesis Prime head.

If there's anything I'd want as badly as SG Optimus,it's SG Starscream. I'd buy that as a tetrajet yesterday. (To be fair,I'd buy it in any colors that Hasbro makes it in. I am a simple man who really likes tetrajets. Give me my tetrajet army,Hasbro. My wallet is ready.)
SG Megatron sounds nice, but what I'd really like to see is Energon Megatron. I really like his blue/green/white color scheme.
If POTP Optimus was released in SG colors,I would go insane. One of the best Optimus toys ever made combined with one my favorite evil Optimus color schemes? Yes please.

Very low. Shattered Glass has been exclusively a club concept before now.

I'm looking for Buster & Hydra, more Decepticon jets - inc a solid 1984 coloured Starscream, combining limbs for Elita 1 and G2 Shuttle Blast Off!

Oooh, I didn't even think of the dual-use angle, but that might be good! Definitely agree that some of them like Jazz would be too similar to realistically do. Do feel though that Megatron's color scheme is just different enough to warrant it, especially if they were to do Prime. Personally I'd love to get SG Soundwave from the Siege mold.
But alas, Roddy was probably only a fluke, and we're very unlikely to see anything else, at least for a while...:(

Also (talking in general now, not just SG), I imagine the redecos/characters we do end up getting from this line will largely depend on how much Hasbro is willing to go outside of the deluxe size for. I can see getting a voyager once in a while, but a leader? That seems like that'd be pushing it. Going off of absolutely nothing but my own thoughts/conjecture, having a leader in this already niche line, it seems like the cost-benefit on their end just isn't enough for Hasbro to do that type of thing. But, I also have zero knowledge in the businessy/technical aspects of the toy industry, so what do I know?

It would be awesome if this line gave us another shot at scoring Reveal the Shield Lugnut, but I admit it's a pipe dream...

At this point, I'm hoping they make the Wrecker recruits from LSOTW as well as the Predators/Turbomasters, and the remaining Targetmasters/Powermasters, possibly even the remaining Headmasters (Minerva, Cab/Hosehead, full bodies for Horri-Bull and Fangry, maybe even Goshooter/Siren)

I'd like them to do a movie version of him in Studio Series.

Is it crazy of me to wish for the Select Line to go past the Prime Wars and Siege molds and give us figures using molds from past lines in general? Like say giving us the retools/repaints that were teased but never made until now?

I would argue that he never showed up in the movies to justify an inclusion to the Studio Series, but that didn't stop Thundercracker... (Then again, SS Thundercracker was a Toys R Us exclusive, but I can still see where you're going...maybe.)

I don't think it makes you crazy. Heck, I've already started it by suggesting a re-release of Reveal The Shield Lugnut.

it would be cool if he appeared in the next movie. But frankly I want to see more creative use of the movie aesthetic in general.
Like the most interesting designs never appeared in the movies. 80 procent of the movie characters just had sportscar altmodes and a few jets.
And I'd like to see more unusual altmodes in the movie aesthetic. Lugnut is just an awesome design that I'd love to see a movie version of.

Hasbro just needs to bring back Botcon.

I see people throwing around a dozen or so ideas at a time, selects wouldn't be able to keep up with the two figure trickle out they seem to be doing now.

Funpub style boxsets with 5-6 figures would be the way to go.

This is just the first. Nothing said it would be two at a time, these are just the first releases.

Botcon isn't the answer, just a steady flow of exclusives which they have already done with Blast Off, Repugnus, and Punch/Counterpunch. Also, not hard to obtain, as all three are still available. I imagine the same will be for these, easily available at multiple online outlets.

So you would rather have $500 box sets with limited availability over easy to get store exclusives that are priced the same as mainline figures? That literally makes no sense and limits exclusives behind a paywall. Hasbro already tried the funpub style box sets during combiner wars and titans return

See my comment right above yours. Agreed, Botcon/FunPub not the way to churn out exclusives, and your comment is also spot-on, as they incur a higher price tag with the likelihood of an increase post-show due to limited run.

The Select Series might be an extension of the exclusives currently available on Amazon, in higher numbers, retail price reasonable, and as of now, no major after-market price hikes.
