That's almost precisely why I'd want it. The designers are going to be forced into making a seemingly impossible thing possible, and they're going to succeed, and it's going to be mind-blowing when they do it.

Beyond that, the MPM series is 2007-focused, so it's going to be weird when/if we eventually get Megatron and he's not in his 2007 body.

Okay, was. And still is mostly dedicated to the 2007 movie, as per the rumoured listings.

 

I'm completely disappointed with this years MPMs, I'm also disappointed that Starscream got pushed back to 2020. At least with 07 Megs, Takara can prove to us that they're able to take on a REAL challenge.

 

I'd pay 500$ for an Optimus Prime with a fixed neck.

(MPM-4 still bae though.)

 

Maybe MPM Megatron will be able to transform from 07 version to RotF version, robot and alt modes...

The only good Movie 1 Megatron toy imo is his Legends figure, solely because he’s the only one not carrying a bigass jetpack. As ugly as his design is, he deserves better as being one of the “originals”.

I'd wait a bit or unless it's a very reputable seller.

 

I have bought over 20 items from this seller and services have been excellent so far.

 

They fold up and compress onto his back. You can see them when seeing him from behind. They're not as big as they are on any of the toys, but they are there. You can also see them when he lands with Jazz, they segment up and fold onto his back. The wings are literally the only piece of kibble on him.

If this mp is the 07 Megatron, then I'll be torn. On th eone hand, I need an 07 Megs to complete the 07 movie cast, and was just going to get the old leader. But if there's an MP of him coming...... that would be insane. But then, he would also be too big to go with the SS guys. Not to mention the price. I'll be watching this with great interest.
