That's actually a good question. It would be a bummer for them to release 2 spectacular figures just to drop the ball on the third. But I doubt that will happen

 

This is the best I could find for size comparison with Tarn. To me, they look around the same size. Which if true, I must admit, is a bit disappointing. I’d have thought SS would be larger. Hope I’m wrong..?

 

I'm actually glad he isn't a behemoth, this is gonna be my CHUG Star Saber.

 

It looks like he might be slightly taller than Tarn, by maybe a head, or at least half a head. Hard to tell from the angle and perspective.

Fair enough however look at the price difference between Drift and Tarn. If SS was much bigger while also containing his current gimmicks then I could see the price approaching $500

 

While "Saber" is probably the intention here, I think this form actually looks closer to Star Saber's "Brain of Courage".

 

The brain of courage is also meant to look like super mode with the helmet down.

Oh I totally brainfarted here. Completely forgot that "Star Saber's" head is just a helmet that goes over the Saber head. Yeah, this is definitely just an "unarmored" Star Saber. Derp!

Assuming the wings are just plug on parts, I'm going to leave them in the box because he looks much more handsome without them on.

A bit more G1 accurate in that way, since Star Saber doesn't have wings normally. That's usually a Victory Saber thing.

On that note...shit. In drooling over this thing, I kinda forgot that they have a Victory Leo add-on component in the works for this. Even if it's not IDW accurate, I'd probably want it if I jump down the rabbit hole on this one. That's... not good for the wallet.

Upon closer inspection, the head isn't all that "Gundam-y" but tbf he is primarily a Japanese character and with Gundam a big thing it's not hard to see why he kind of looks like Strike Freedom Gundam.
