I think I just found my stand in IDW prime. Those 2 look great together

 

Out of curiosity, why this instead of the actual IDW Prime from the same company that made that Megatron?

 

Oddly enough I prefer the look of this paired with bomber megs than the actual idw prime himself, and my GT prime doesn’t really hold well anymore, it can barely hold dynamic poses because most of it is on friction joints

 

I hate friction joints!!!

I can't argue with anyone who wants better joints on Op Ex, but he's still my favorite of all the Optimuses in my collection.

 

Yes he at least looks gorgeous!

 

This just reminds me that I'll be needing to sell mine at some point to make room for other stuff.

I bought S.T. Commander; like I said, he's apparently stuck in customs. But Op Ex isn't going anywhere. I have a Detolf with Op Ex, Power Baser, Gunfighter II, MPM-4, Challenger, Thunder Manus, Ju Jiang Supreme Leader, Alpha Pack, GT Gorilla, and PE Leonidas that this guy is going to join.

 

This guy has nothing to do with me wanting to sell my Op Ex.


I still don't even know if I'm going to get this.  

 

I've already bought mine and he should be getting in soon. I just don't have a lot of self space so someone had to get bumped for ST Commander. Unfortunately Op Ex didn't make the cut

 

You DO realize he does not own any of his TF designs, right? He got paid for his work... but Hasbro owns the art. Even is Hasbro was making this figure, Don wouldn't likely be making a penny off of it... no royalties, nothing.

Excuse the bad lighting... this Detolf is in the darkest corner of the room. Maybe one day I'll do some lighting, but with a three year old running around I'm lucky if I have the time and energy to open my toys, let alone display them properly. Also excuse the lack of dynamic posing- that Detolf is just getting too crowded.







I do have regular MP-10, but he's with my MP Autobots. At one time I had Maketoys Striker Manus and Planet X's Jupiter, but I sold them when I decided to quit CHUGs and go all in on MPs. Then I moved, bought Alpha Pack, realized he's kind of small, set up this display just for Primes, and am thinking about rebuying them (although what I really want is for Weijiang or somebody to make MP-10-sized KOs of them). And, of course, I have to make room for Stoomander... I'll probably move Supreme Leader down with Gorilla and Leonidas, then YotH down with Alpha Pack and Thunder Manus, and Stoowie can chill with the movie Primes.

Oh, and know that while some people will say Prime's been done to death and we don't need another Prime I would kill for an MP Fire Convoy.

 

You don’t need pose those guys, Optimus Primes are already full of dynamism straight out the box.

Did yours get out of customs yet? My last update is that it hit the USPS distro in Jersey City, so hopefully it'll actually arrive early this coming week.
