Seeing this makes me really wish we had more competition for these guys. These games deserve far better figures than even Planet X delivered.

Maybe in terms of handling, but I think the bigger the bot the easier it is to make faithful to the source.

 

Planet X did a great job designing their figures in my opinion. The only flaw is that they're not the correct size.

 

They've done a great job on most of them but as you said the scale is off. Aside from that I find Perceptor, Ironhide, Ratchet, and the insecticons to all be pretty far off base. When Grimlock and the dino it's were coming out I was blown away, these last few releases/announcement have me worried about the future of the line.

One way I've had to deal with this is that I actually have multiple shelves for these guys based on scale. There's a decepticon shelf that has all the PX decepticons, and autobot shelf with all the autobots, then another shelf that has the dinobots fighting Microblaze Creations Bruticus complimented by the Shapeshift studios Ironhide and Starscream. Genesis is on a shelf with the little monopoly-esque pieces that came with my generations metroplex, and Tripticon will be on his own whenever TCP decides to finally get their battle damaged ones in stocks. Still haven't gotten the Insecticons but I guess they're the right scale for the dinobots shelf?

 

Can I see the dinobots facing MBC Bruticus? I always wanted to see the scale.

 

I'll try to reply with a pic tomorrow, currently my WFC shelves are down and being rearranged. Maybe I can find some pics elsewhere before then.

Everywhere I checked was out of stock. I was lucky enough to find the metallic version at robot kingdom for only $100, which was the version I prefer anyway. Shipping was like $40 tho, yikes!

 

I'm still hoping that this happens...

I want them ALL upscaled.  

 

If they're ever planned to be upscaled, I hope Black Mamba would do it.
