MMC does not have hands and feet in one limb. It has either one hand or one foot. not both.

If there’s no movement on this by 1st half of ‘19 I think a lot of ppl are gna sour/move on from this ... not many peeps are into one-off combiners; this pivot by FT has to be accompanied by some kind of momentum or ppl will just jump on the Zeta train for combined mode and play the waiting game with TT rather than FT ... 3P is always just an addendum for the vast majority of collectors ... FT elevated their position by going damn near punch for punch with MP official releases that, while still superior, were becoming more spaced out and less inclined to take risks (looking at you v3 Optimus and Hound) ... with the wait times, QC risks, and sustained commitment required for a whole cast of G1 combiner teams, a lot of FT’s advantage starts to erode ...

I don't think this is really a valid argument.

Triple changing, having articulation in two modes, hiding a foot/ankle strong enough to support an assembled combiner (the hands are probably(?) a smaller problem).

Not to discount the impressive engineering of Peru kill, but the challenges are very different for a 20 inch+ combiner. It's a complete apples to oranges comparison.

The comment wasn't to say Fanstoys can't do it either just that things thought not achievable are and peru kill and challenger both prove that with intelligent design a lot is achievable . I want this to be the definitive Superion But I don't think FT will deliver on anything other than sculpt. Having been disappointed with every release since Koot excluding Mindwipe (Who is great, just sadly Mindwipes design was never going to light world on fire) I just don't think their engineering is up to it.

When you get things like Peru Kill, challenger & DX9 rodimus they achieve a huge amount in minimal parts movement whilst being %100 robust, I can't say the same for anything from FT since Phoenix.

Except every past Fans Toys release completely disagrees with this idea. AFAIK the only figure FT has released that wasn't substantially delayed was their Weirdwolf, and that's only because they didn't announce it and just sprung it as a surprise. Every other FT product takes months or years to release... and they all sell amazingly well, often sell out and usually end up with multiple runs. Even characters that get a lot of grief like Kup or Arcee still sell extremely well.
How long did folks wait on Omega? Or Skyfire? We're still waiting on Hot Rod and the enthusiasm for him is still strong.
FT fan's long ago accepted that their stuff is worth waiting for. We still complain about it, but we still wait. This will be no different. And why talk about them lacking the commitment? MP is the only thing FT does. They're not going to just stop making the combiners half way through. These first two will sell well, and that will be all they need to announce the next two.

As for Takara? How long do you think they'll take to announce a combiner, let alone release all parts of even one? And Takara is averaging maybe $160-$180 for limb-bot sized MP's and upwards of $300 for torso bot figures? How much do you think a Takara combiner will cost? IF they ever do one, it will take years, and probably cost at least a grand. Getting all G1 combiners from Takara will take more than a decade... a lot more.

My POV between an FT release Vs a TT release:

Oh TT is releasing a new figure. I'll get it when it's out.

Fuckin' A! FT is releasing a combiner! Dances around and shows his wife, kids, and friends. Hurry up and release it already!

I was thinking. Fans Toys kinda has my most interest right now for MP scale stuff. funny as I usually go official and haven't gotten a Fans Toys in a long while. For official stuff I've been more into the main line recently.

I just turned 29. I legit haven't met another person my age who was into G1 in real life.

Don't worry. We are all ageless when we are sitting there fussing with our Transformers. Cought somewhere in the twilight zone between being a kid and playing with our toy trucks, and being an adult who can appreciate clever engineering.

I asked dalianjj about when they would be revealing combined mode. He didn't say specifically, but he did say that "The combine mode will be revealed before ft31a and ft30a release. Thx."

You would think that FT would take advantage of the slowdown of official Takara MP releases to actually, you know, get something in our hands sooner rather than later. Maybe factory time is at a premium for everybody these days, trying to get product out before the global economy tanks (if economists' predictions come to pass)...

I will be really interested to see how FT handles Superion and if it is better/worse than Zeta.

I like Zeta's Superion look but not feeling how much extra parts are necessary to make him...and that Silverbolt is essentially just serving as back filler and head elevation.

I'm expecting them to use as much extra parts as Zeta, maybe included with the limbs as separated pieces (thighs, crotch, shoulders...) instead of one single extra large part. We'll see.

I know I don't speak for everybody but I personally can do without those gimmicky "that thing from that episode" accessories. I'd much rather they spent that money/time on making sure the engineering and QC is top notch.

These figures are such a hard pass for me. I won't back poor attempts from FT any more. $600 for this set and they can't get the biggest figure right is just not worth my money.

I still remember Dalianjj telling us that blue terminus was selling out everywhere and they wouldn't need to change that mold a bit to make it a more attractive buy. It wasn't out a month before the prices was slashed almost $100 everywhere. I'm predicting the same with this set once people see how ugly motormaster and sliverbolt are and might go with zeta as a better alternative.

Not listening to fan input wasn't a great business decision before GP forced FT to change. Now that GP is dead, not listening to fans again won't help FT with their sales. I guess they need to learn the hard way.

Still waiting to find out whether or not this set and the Stunticons set will be a pants-former combination like the Zeta sets are, or if they're not and combine more like the Combiner Wars bots do. While I really want to get these guys since they look so awesome, my wallet really hopes that they do pants-form, so I can maybe finally slow down on my spending. :lol

My wallet needs to shut the eff up.
