After a few months without fiddling with sunny, while transforming this guy from car to bot and back i was amazed again by the sheer magic TT made with this mold!
Simply wonderful.

Strange - paid ems with AE, left Japan 2 weeks ago but no sign of it! Never happened before.

 

EMS with AE was much slower for MP-17+ too, getting to me in Ireland. Not sure why

 

Hmm encouraging I’m maybe not alone. Like 2 weeks getting to Europe slower? Usually takes just a few days to cross Japan and reach Europe, then longer than that to go a few hundred k round the coast here, but this is unusual. Sure it’ll turn up.

 

Yeah, almost two weeks. Used to be that EMS would ship on the Monday and get to me by the following Monday at the latest, but often arrive on Friday or even Thursday (especially if it was 'shipped' on a Saturday). Now I've been out of Ireland for a year and a half, so I don't know what's changed in the meantime apart from shipping costs!

I've gone with Amazon Japan for 20+, though. I don't mind paying upfront tax if it means I'll get him super fast. I'll probably still go back to AE for Hound, since I don't particularly want to pay tax on 12000 Yen.

 

This guy just increased my already intense love of repaints to another unimaginable level.

 

Got the guy as an impulse purchase. Loving him more than I expected. Here some pics of my slightly customized Cordon; I thought he look better with blue optics because the original red was too overwhelming together with his earflaps. Painted his right optic blue and kinda liked the heterochromia look, him being a cop car and all.

Heterochromia - genius! Now I'm imaging red and blue 'ears' which flash like sirens - I wonder if a battery would fit in that head

I love these non-toon characters, they're like a blank canvas for characterisation, and poses really bring them to life in interesting ways. So cool when the articulation is the level of MP-39, too.

 

The Heterochromatic look makes a lot of sense too because he suffers from constant memory loss and keeps getting shuffled between factions.

 

Big thanks brother. Yeh, I agree that I love the non-toon characters for just the reason you stated. It gives us room to make up whatever we want — to just have fun with the figures without attachments.

 

There should be enough space to fit some micro LEDs and batteries in that noggin' of his . Though that would require quite a bit of extra work to recast the ears in clear plastics/resin as well.

I've absolutely no idea that's what his bio is actually about, so that revelation increases his coolness factor by 10x for me!   He's like that cop in the Lego movie lol.

Caved in and ordered that thing. He will be here in a week or so. I hate giving that much for a blasted car bot but the Diaclones were lagging behind in my shelfspace. TT this is your last chance as far as I am concerned....
