I saw that big Porg set in Tescos today. For the size and price it's just kinda boring.

I still don't understand the big deal about the Porgs.

If you mean like, why people like 'em it's just because they're cute animals; the reason they even made 'em is because there were so many like, puffins or something on the island where they shot the Luke/Rey scenes they made the porgs to cover 'em up.

In terms of "marketable thing in SW" it beats the hell out of the ewoks or JarJar.

Yeah, the native puffins on that island were a protected species, so they weren't even allowed to shoo them out of the shooting locations. So they created the Porgs as a way to digitally alter them in all the shots they appeared. And then when you've done that much, might as well make them cute and marketable while you're at it. Puffins are pretty cute in the first place.

Good to know. Oh and the not understanding Porgs thing was a joke. And to be honest, I preferred Ewoks (as scary as that statement sounds).

If the Ewoks weren't able to take out the Empire with logs, I'd be way more okay with them.

When all else fails, use logs. Ask Arnold when he went up against the Predator. ;)

IS that only for the UK? Because all I heard was the Carousel for the free giveaway on Black Friday.

    Hm, true.
I guess I'll just have to look into all available options.

Also, for the love of god, Lego you better give us these badass motherfuckers:

I'd be happy even if it's just the Talon grunt (left).

    Hi gang,
I think I've lost the battle to resist Lego Voltron. Do we know of any double points periods coming soon? Or, any cool giveaways/promotions down the pipe?
    Thanks!

I don't think there's anything for November and December although it is possible they'll have some sort of double VIP event for Black Friday. Just a guess.

I was going to pass on Lego annuals this year because they've become a bit dull with regards to the Minifigure covermounts, but I just couldn't resist this happy little fella and accessories. Currently £3.49 in Asda.

Looks like the Juniors style set is using the old helmet mold for Luke.

From the look of the torso, I almost thought there was going to be a Porkins minifigure.

Ever since the first waves of 2019 Lego SW proved a wash for me, now I'm just waiting for the summer sets to be revealed. :/

It even made me wonder about the Zuckuss minifigure rumor.
