Call paypal, unless you did it through your personal account (signed into your PP account when you checked out of ebay). If through your account, just find it and open a dispute. If you wait for Ebay, it will be 2019 before you'll see your money back.

If you used your CC through ebay and didn't do the above, let PP know that. That means you checked out of PP as a guest and have to use a date and amount to find the transaction. Some CS know how to do it, some don't. The one that didn't had the ability to use my previous dispute to find this newest transaction via my unique number assigned to me as a guest. Its not hard but just warning you and to save some time opening the dispute.

 

Ok, I requested a refund from the seller through Ebay, and called Paypal and opened a dispute.

Paypal refunded my purchase from seller mengxiao_cn for $57 for purchase of THF Dynastron.

Looks like this seller has gone rogue...so much so Ebay pulled his listing right after I won it. Heads up for others.

 

@ChromeMagnus - Just an FYI and you may want to remove him but agabysscom is not a Chinese seller. He's a US seller. Anyone from Chicago TFCon that has visited his booth there can confirm that

Yea so I don’t know if they will stock it at that price. I just did not like the way he quickly offered to give me some sort of compensation for sending the wrong one instead of just making it right. And when I mean compensation he wanted to offer me $20! I’m just glad I posted on here because @ChromeMagnus saved me from making a big mistake and bartering back on forth on an amount instead of just filing an eBay claim, which I finally did. I guess I had a brain lapse. DOH!! Either way I am getting my money back. I have to wait for a label from him so I can ship it to his friend in the states. Kudos to Chrome!

So I am really not sure the seller is rogue - I think there is something else going on, as recently I have found a lot of shipping to be slower and more chaotic than usual and not from any particular seller. I do think Ebay forcing SPeedPAK on sellers and SpeedPAK having it's undisclosed rules about contraband is the crux of the problem.

The thing is, my order has a China Post tracking number - so I am not sure whether to take the refund or not.

Good point. It makes me wonder if otherwise decent sellers are having issues with returns and refunds cutting into profits, and they finally decide the business isn't worth the headache and just sell the account off to a scammer to try and recoup any money they can. Pure speculation on my part, but it does explain why some of these sellers with years of good feedback go rogue overnight. It also seems to explain why they seem to reply to questions and give out refunds with multiple apologies, and then all of a sudden they stop replying at all. I mean, it's still a crappy thing to do but I can understand the reasoning behind it if that's actually what's going on.

 

Hey, I'm dealing with him too, and surprisingly something is on it's way. My tracking just updated today to...something leaving china today. So my hopes are up, but not too high. In my case I got a Zeta Toys Aerialbot for 35.99 new. Soooooooo it is in fate's hands now if that is what actually shows up.

 

I hadn't thought of them selling their account off but that makes sense. Possibly, in the case of sellers like wanzhiwangzhe, recent buyers get stuck with the scammers but they are still trying to sort out the buyers that happened on their watch (like myself). The customer accountability might be based on the date they gave the account away.

If this is the case, it makes it impossible to tell which sellers are still safe at a given point in time - we can only work it out after the fact, when a few buyers get stung. Ebay, with it's forced SpeedPAK service, seems to be ruining it for everyone. I need to learn how to use the Chinese online marketplaces.

Anyway, I'll let wanzhiwangzhe know that I'll give the item another 3 days to arrive and, if it doesn't show, I'll take my refund.

So checking on postal ninja for a order I placed recently with jinfen-3 (who has been reliable for 3 other recent purchases for me) the tracking information says the item is stopped. It's definitely SpeedPAK and not the seller dicking these orders around.

 

Has anyone ordered from Freeman toys before? I bought MPM 7 from them around 10/25. They shipped it out on 10/27 but I haven't gotten an update since. The latest estimated delivery date is next Monday. I'm starting to get concerned that it may or may not arrive. Can anyone offer any advice?

Strange though - that one has no sharp edges, is not infringing on Takara or Hasbro copyright and has nothing gun like about it. Make's no sense at all. Perhaps the seller can explain it, as they did for me.
