Well, if it's in scale with Challenger, it should work with the MOM Carboys. Peru Kill is just too big in both modes, so I hope they don't scale it with him.

Poor Hot Rod; he has no tires.  

Don't have any experience with DX9 figures (this is their first movie-verse fig, I think?) but definitely interested in this guy based on Unique Toy's track record with Peru Kill & Challenger. Seriously some of the best transformations I've ever seen.

  Finally, someone makes his SMG! (not the time gun) While I still hope he's smaller than Hot Fire, the scale will no longer be a deal breaker!

Pretty sure I see some hinges closer to the top of his back leading to his doors. I wouldn't worry about them sitting too low.

 

TFEVO is certainly more accurate (despite crashing and burning for most with all the QC issues and the extremely limited release). I love mine (never transformed and I probably never will), but he really is too big. If this guy is a bit smaller he'll be a definite buy for me.

Based on wheel size from the alt mode comparisons, I think this is his approximate height.
