Well different paint: the VW has rust/weathering, the Camaro has a better paint job in car mode; unfortunately that means paint apps get reduced in robot mode. And this won't be $80 in the US.

Amazon's getting the same. To the point where Amazon themselves will up their prices to match third party sellers; SS Ironhide was originally up for £80 in the UK store!

 

idk where you get that from, any of their high prices are 3rd party sellers, while if its from amazon, its at retail price. and a lot of times amazon can even make it less.

 

That's how it used to be but lately Amazon have been hiking their prices up too, on Amazon.co.uk at least. Like literally making their price a penny less than the cheapest third party seller. I wouldn't have commented about it if I hadn't specifically noticed it was Amazon's own stock.

 

Well that sucks.... the more fair pricing must just be an amazon America thing...

Dude, do you shop a lot on Amazon?   I'm seriously shocked by your posts - Amazon prices have been TERRIBLE lately (in the USA!). They definitely do NOT honor MSRP when they can help it.

Yes, you DO see items under retail... the shelf-warmers they can't sell (where discounting an unpopular product is normal retail behavior).

I think you'll see a lot of price hiking in the Marvel Legends side - items like Black Widow or Thor get upcharged $6-7. The Sentinel set is up for $99.99, which may be MSRP, but considering how Amazon sells it exclusively, the argument that it's been upcharged (per their request) can certainly be made. Thus far, you can be somewhat forgiven for not noticing - Amazon is kind of testing the waters on raising prices on the more popular collectibles. AND, I've seen those same prices on Walmart's site, so you can argue that Amazon is matching Walmart... upwards.   But please don't suggest that Amazon has cheap prices still - that's definitely an anachronism at this point.
