Specifically compared to T30 they're larger, sorry. Should have specified. All my comparisons were in reference to T30 since the OP brought up Scoop.

You're right; he did. I grant you that as well. Thing of it is, we already did the upturn in size soon after that (with some figures now and then still coming in undersized), so the increase in cost for Siege still isn't covered by that one. Just from my point, the costs aren't justified with what we're getting. With SS, I picked up Blackout. That's it. From Siege...I don't know. Maybe the weapon-pack deluxes. I'd like that Prowl, too. But if he's way short compared to my other classics (which I anticipate he will be) then he's a no.

As for the little ones, I really don't care if that's exactly how much they need to be priced for everyone to get a decent cut. At most I'll never believe that. At the very least, it's not worth it to me at all. At even $5, I'd expect knees and elbows as well. And even then it'd be biting the bullet if I wanted it that much, or skipping it altogether.

Okay, anyway--my humble opinion, etc. Not trying to take away from anyone wanting these.

Agree. These are totally cheap, and and soon the size of a voyager will be a deluxe. Huge blow to collectors.

You exaggerate greatly. After normalizing after the rather over-large toys from the AEC days, toys have maintained a fairly consistent size over the years. Comparisons show that Siege Prime is pretty much the exact same height as Classics Prime from over 10 years ago.

I'm in Washington state too, in Renton. I'm still thinking about getting them, but I'm surprised that they showed up this quickly in the West Coast.

Just curious, Was there a street date for these? Because my set I ordered said it should be ready for pick up in a week or 2.

And he was small for a voyager, and one of the reasons I never bought the figure. They also compared him to CW Prime, and it makes Siege Prime look kinda shrimpy. Maybe voyagers being deluxe sized some day is a bit of a stretch (*cough* maybe...), but voyager class figures have been consistently bigger since then. The fact that they are going BACK to Classic Prime's height is disappointing. For both Prime AND Megs, considering who they are. Now, I didn't want them to be leader class this time around, but a head taller each would have done them well.

Combiner Wars Prime is a terrible comparison because he's significantly larger than average.

Classics Prime really wasn't that small. He just doesn't have wings or other shit to artificially inflate his size. Otherwise, he's the same height/proportions, as say, Cybertron Evac.

True, but he's also a head shorter than Uni 2.0 Inferno/HFTD Grapple, same as with TR Blitzwing (who was used for Megs too--and pretend he had a normal sized head too; still taller), about half a head shorter than T30 Springer, a head or so shorter than the old '07 movie Ironhide, etc. And just in bulk--artificial wingspans or not--they're just beefier figures. Let there be the Evacs and movie Highbrows, some others that meet that height. But he's Optimus Prime. My point stands--the original was small for a voyager, and so is the new one. I get the point you were trying to make with voyagers in general. But I really don't want that to be the norm--and we should be getting away from Classics Prime's height for Prime himself.

I wonder what colour Takara will do Lionizer as a Campaign toy in - Orange and yellow or silver and salmon pink/red.

Not only is it roughly the same size as Classics Prime, it's not much bigger than the original. I think I'm okay if CHUG settled at the Diaclone scale for their vehicle modes.
