The spider tank mode is AWESOME. The tank mode is...uh....well, it looks like the alternate mode of a Gundam, in which the alternate modes are unapologetically a humanoid robot contorted into a functional alt mode.

Wing Gundam’s “bird” mode and Zeta Gundam’s wave rider mode are obviously a robot with folded up arms, compressed legs, and a shield on its head. The Epyon’s “dragon” mode is clearly a robot bending over backwards and flying towards you feet first. F-91 had a tank robot that literally sat down on its butt with its feet pointing forward. And, the Titans had some truly bizarre transforming mecha.

Considering the story, it was all awesome. These mobile suits didn’t need to disguise themselves. They’re to be used in open combat, and some of the mecha had alternate forms to give them some additional combat utility.

Keeping that in mind, I think this figure looks awesome.

 

-Robot mode: not bad.
-Spider tank mode: nice!
-Tank mode: um... no.

But I guess that's pretty typical for triple changers.

 

If this thing can accommodate a diaclone pilot then it is an instabuy for me!

 

I actually quite like this, besides the very fan-mode looking buggy. Don’t think I’m sold on the colour scheme though. Potentially interested in a future repaint if they go down that path

 

I'm down with this. The boot and the spider tank look good. The buggy thing looks a little weird, but beast wars metals prepared me for such "alts".

Same principal. If you're not hiding, it's the best way to use the ability to transform.

 

Robotech/Southern Cross is exactly what I was thinking about, the colors even match with the cyclone bikes. If they did him in purple he would make an excellent Invid, especially that spider tank mode.

I don't know if I'm totally in on this line, but I'm in on this guy and maybe a some others judging by the designs in the line art. That Deathsauras looks bad ass, but does he have a dragonhead crotch. Talk about burning when you piss.

I really like the idea of original takes on characters for 3P figures- stuff HasTak won’t offer. Captain huffy looked great, but this one looks strange- not feeling the color scheme or tank mode
