Sideswipe 12.8cm
Cog 15.5cm (to tip of shoulders)
Optimus 17cm
Ultra Magnus 21cm (to tip of stacks consistent with twitter reported height)

So that means Siege Optimus will be the same height as Classics Optimus?
Is Sideswipe shorter than the typical Deluxe from POTP?

 

At a hair under 13cm Sideswipe is a pretty standard Deluxe going all the way back to the Beast era. They can range from 12cm tall at the head to 15cm tall, but 13-14cm has typically been the norm. Classics Swipe is tall at 15cm, but the Mach Alert mold is a tad under 13cm, so that's probably a good guide to go by.

At 17cm, yep, Siege Prime is identical in height to Classics Prime, and as it looks like a larger model COE semi, probably a similar scale (~1:45). Unfortunately that makes Megatron 17cm, which means they're both shorter than most voyagers (mean tends to be 18cm).

 

So that makes the head height of Leaders only a large voyager.

MP27 Ironhide was 21cm.

I am hoping to see Chromia to be shorter than WFC Siege Ironhide. It also appears that they've skimped on the shoulder weapons of Sideswipe and Prowl to reduce the parts count and to encourage people to buy MP if they want absolute G1 traditionalism.

I am mainly buying WFC Siege due to it being a fresh start for a standalone line with no need to mix and match, and I like how they maintain the MP silhouette while offering a simple transformation.

So this will be the definitive line for me.

 

Leaders are Ultra-sized, much like they were in Combiner Wars. TR and POTP went back to the actual old Leader size (or thereabout), now they are back.

Ironhide will be an ideal candidate for Weaponizer Slippers. I am also guessing that Sideswipe didn't get shoulder weapons to encourage people to buy Cog (and Sixgun in the future).

 

Combiner Wars only had Megatron tank and Starscream mould. They were only meant to be marginally taller than the 19cm voyagers.

CW Ultra Magnus was proper leader size.

Siege is kind of looking better than the Combiner wars one.

 

In the new siege trailer that user @transform75 posted at Paris comic con we get our first tease at Barricade in the decepticon propaganda poster in the trailer. He seems have his movie style motif and is a remold/retool of prowl.

Surprised it took this long though, making a Decepticon retool of a G1 inspired Prowl and calling it "Barricade" sounds like something they would've done as soon as 2007.

 

i still don't get why people for a datsun body type for classics barricade, but not for a classics movie bumblebee who literally transformed like the datsun mold. barricade basically just had a hood chest and that was it.

 

Barricade was originally going to be Prowl in the 07 movie anyway so him using the Prowl mold for Siege is only fitting.

 

Reading their heights, I'm out on Megatron and Optimus. Same height as Classics Optimus means far too short. Such a shame, because Megatron looks really good. Wonder what this means for Hound's height? Barricade looks cool, but it looks like the shrinkage can be a huge problem for this line.

 

BARRICADE! He is awesome even though he might be a prowl retool.

(Oh, and am the only one who thought Combiner Wars Prowl should have been Barricade? Far more drastically different colour scheme to Streetwise & vehicle mode would have been much more appropriate... It even has the cowcatcher on!)

 

I want to see what Prowl is like. If he is a Police car like form. I would use that Barricade in my Chug collection.

 

Why wouldn’t Prowl be a police car?

 

I am totally fine with these sizes.

This means:

- Siege Ultra Magnus is a head shorter than Takara Super Ginrai / half a head shorter than TR PMOP - which is cool with me because I think Magnus should be smaler than them.

- And Siege Prime & Megatron being 17cm, is great in relation to Takara Super Ginrai and Takara Overlord.

 

Wheeljack while he lost, isn’t he in the rumored figures? There is artwork of him on posters.... but we don t have confirmation of Skywarp as well and he is on posters .
