Yay!! Congrats on making this happen. Hopefully your work will solve the fragile shoulders this guy was plagued with. That would fix one of the biggest, if not the biggest problem. Will the sales page show how to install them? I look forward to trying these out!

Yes that is correct. I would have needed to duplicate the engineering of the part to shift down for transformation, involves doing it with pins and/or screws which I don’t have.

Yes the sale page will include pictures installed all info.

Yes, I’ll provide an explanation and pictures...it’s simply replacing the stock with the add-on. They will be fully assembled (my way to do QC), ready to install. All in the sale page which I need time to put together.

It’s been a labor of “love”. Wow can’t believe how many hours involved to get here....

    Thank. God.
The hips are my biggest problem with this guy, more so than the shoulders. It really needed ratchets for the side to side movement too to support the diecast. Also the gray hip pieces split apart if you pose them in certain ways.

If you figure out a way to fix both of these issues you will be a saint in my book. You already were with the shoulder fix! :D

    Not quite.

New crotch, front skirts and leg covers.

    First the legs.
It always bothered how misproportion and thin his upper legs looked compared to his leg.....he looks like he is wearing giant knee high boots. And something about the design of his upper leg (white part) being not being as long, he honestly looks like he is wearing white shorts. I think Generation Toys OP does it better.

So my plan is to rectify this, looking at bulking the upper leg to better proportion it with the lower leg. And lengthening the upper leg armor (white part).

    Pictures are some test designs.

Test1: Bulked up upper leg, longer length.

Test 2: Bulked up upper leg, short length.

    Test 1 & 2 together comparison

I’m looking st this being a snap-on leg cover. Im lending towards the longer length look :)

Better look at the snap-on leg covers.

Not sure which design I prefer. I never minded how the upper legs looked tbh, I’m more curious about the hip skirt replacements.

If I had to choose though I guess I’d pick the longer length design

Is it possible to decrease the bulk a bit of the first one? I like the idea of this - the upper legs are my least favorite part aesthetically speaking - but I am afraid it could end up looking too bulked up. I understand this effect might be mitigated by your crotch piece mod but I don't need that really (it's mostly his buttocks that annoy me).

The hip front skirts I’m finding tricky to do as his leg rotation his so high to his waistline. When you rotate 90 degrees, it doesn’t leave much room for any front skirts to rotate out of the way. If there was more disatance between both. Might need to introduce a waist plate (waist extender) which can also serve to house the front skirts. This will make him taller though....not sure how I feel about that yet.

Yeah that’s definitely tricky. Personally I’d be okay with leaving them as they are, but the thigh covers would be nice to have. Making his torso taller might throw off the heroic proportions a little so idk how that would look. Have you figured out a way for them to lock on? Do they cover the normal leg on the back of the thigh?

Also btw I got the shoulder replacements in today, I’ll try installing them later tonight or tomorrow and let you know how they turn out! I’m excited to try them!

I need to maintain the thickness of the side walls for strength. I tried smaller (1/32”) but they break off easy. The front bulk I’m still playing around, but it should balance out with the new bulk of the new front skirts and crotch. When not installed as the previous pictures show, yes they look big. Work in progress...

I agree with the concern of him getting taller. The leg covers actually “snap” lock via the round slot as circled in the picture.
I do have a version that splits to cover front and back separately. But what I’m finding in add a lot of bulk from a side view as I need to maintain a certain wall thickness. But I’m looking at both condition, finding what the right dimensions that work.

Great that you received your add-on, exciting to hear what you think :)

Update: front crouch and skirts test

So here the first promisingly attempt for having the front skirts independent for the legs. The skirts pivot on the front crouch.....allowing for the leg to come higher w/out being limited by his original skirt which were attached to his leg.

He can now do the Captain Mirgan pose :)

The design is still very rough...work in progress

Here’s an update on the leg cover, now with added detail and panel reveals. Testing to see how well the printer can print them :)

I’m liking the aesthetic...it really balances out the leg covers and new front crouch and skirts together!

With those new hip skirts and leg armor, can he still do the super deep crouching poses like the one on the back of the box? Also is the skirt attached by making the torso longer or is it a snap on piece as well?
