Yes, I was afraid to split the sides because It was so tight, and that's the first spot you lose paint anyway. I'll play around with those hinges before I transform him back to loosen him up. On the other hand I love the tightness in the other joints,made me look at the Datsun mold in a different light.

 

Mine arrived today. Will post pics tonight after kids go to sleep and I can safely open it.

 

Here he is--no major issues, though his left door wing joint was a little floppy and wouldn't stay angled up. Luckily, all I had to do was tighten the screw behind it and now it's not a problem. All other joints were nice and tight (but not too tight). I guess there's maybe some little tiny spots where there is either too much or too little paint, but honestly I've had that issue with past MPs as well. Note I am not a photographer and these were taken with my phone under terrible lighting conditions   Thumbnails:

Of course, after saying there were no paint issues, I noticed in the close-up photo that there is an eyelash or something stuck in the paint on his head crest. I truly never would have noticed looking at him with unaided eyes, haha.

 

I display every single box and package, G1 through MP. I know I'm not the only one here, and the gloss finish is piss poor on mine.

 

Oh 100% agree, it totally is. So in your case I can totally understand the dismay.

 

I think I like Prowl + enough to consider Wheeljack +.

 

Some pictures in alt mode - which is how I primarily display. One obvious door paint blemish, but I do love the toon blue.

 

Prowl + with reprolabels and regular MP Prowl's gun. Nice touch.

Perfect shots, @Sam ! I know they're not cartoon recreations, but they're so animated, purposeful and naturalistic in their posing and the scenes are so vivid they look like they could be! Well, except for that last one...  

 

Haha, yeah I do like coming up with scenes in my head, and bringing them to life so well with these MPs! Makes up for the fact that I can't draw for shit  

I figure Prowl always wishes Chip Chase had been included with him (as I'm sure he would've been, had budget permitted  )

 

Should be getting mine on Friday. I had an preorder with BBTS (which I love), but got tired of waiting for them to get their inventory in. So I cancelled my preorder and ordered from TFSource. Getting this Prowl and the 3 Action Toys Machine Robo figures I didn’t already have.

Plus—PLUS!—I found a set of Impossible Toys energon cubes mint in package from eBay! Since I stupidly sold my original set a few years back, I’ve been looking for a set of these for a long time from other websites, but no luck. Seen opened sets on eBay before, but I had locked my eBay account years ago due to someone hacking it (this was back when eBay and other online etailers didn’t have the security they do now). So when I saw this set mint in package for sale, I checked to see if I could use my old account (which was attached to my email) and I had success in doing so, so I straight up bought that set of energon cubes. Should be getting them on Friday, too, and I’m hyped! They were the best energon cubes on the market, IMO.

I hear ya man . BBTS has one more week . After that , I’ll be looking else where . I’m starting to think pirates hijacked the ship and is holding it for a hefty ransom .

Yeah it's weird. They had one small shipment for them and then a larger one and something's happened to the larger one where it hasn't come in. I think Toydojo has a similar issue.
