Still daimchoc,they are the same character,and my argument is about Hasbro trying to save a penny or two when they could've just added a hinge or two.Also knowing Hasbro if they ever do decide to do MP Highbrow they would probably do the same thing to him as TR Highbrow.Just my honest opinion.

 

Do you realize that a deluxe chug figure has a completely different pricepoint than a 3p masterpiece scale one, right?

I believe that discussion hinges on whether Metroplex is all of Autobot City or just a small part that can separate.

Whenever I hear discussions on costs one of the highest cost things I'm told consistently is parts count. Making the wings move adds 2 more parts to the figure. If parts count really is a major price factor it would be a lot more than a penny or two saved. The other option would be to remove 2 parts somewhere else on the figure.

the past couple years maketoys has been quiet all summer long and doesn't announce any updates until the mid-fall conventions. So we should see something at tfcon chicago.

Almost certainly. If you don't count Sunstorm (just an easy repaint), and maybe the Coneheads (I don't know how much retooling work is actually needed, plus exactly where Highbrow is) this is the Re:Master figure furthest along.

 

I'd rather MakeToys put their seekers/Coneheads on the backburner and focus on what they do best, MP scaled Headmasters and Targetmasters.

 

While I do agree but I’d like MT to finish up the coneheads as well

 

The thing is that there are already mp coneheads.. but no HighBrow, Brainstorm etc.

 

Yep in addition there are already better quality, lower priced Yes Model and KBB KOs of the Takara coneheads.

 

But neither Yes or KBB did anything about how ugly the Takara Coneheads are or how bad the engineering is.
